    We can argue till the cows come home. Stalin died with 7-8 years of end of WW2. What he built didn't even last 40 years. A comparison to a 200 year + British Empire or even older empires is moot.

    Can't comment on the Communist world but in the democratic, civilized world - Sony, JVC, Panasonic, Suzuki, Honda, Toyota, Nintendo, Super Mario Bros, Sega, Mitsubishi, Gameboy etc. ruled the roost.

    Global manufacturing moved to China when China was happy to suck up to the West. Supply chains and manufacturing can move, although it takes time.
