    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

I thought this UAV was going to be 1200kg in weight. Although we do not know whether that includes usable weight and fuel, even of it does it will be nearly twice the weight of TB2. Where did you get the 800kg weight?

You are correct in thinking about the weight addition for the satcom. But we must not forget the durability of satcom to EW interference and since we would not want the TCG Anadolu too close to enemy, it would be prudent to have satcom control especially in the event that the enemy possess...

They have already started satcom addition on TB2’s. So it is only natural to expect they do it on TB3 as well. It would be in addition to LOS control. You can see the bulbous tops of new satcom TB2’s in below picture On the left.

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

This plane is going to be much larger than TB2. TB2 has 650kg max Take off weight with 150kg usable load. Anka has 1600 kg maximum take off weight with 250kg usable weight. So with a weight of (we don’t know if it is max takeoff weight) 1200kg, it is going to be a sizeable bird. In spite of...

What is a “ludicrous drive mode” ? Once the electric car reaches the necessary take off speed, how does it stop? Or does it go over board? With 1200kg overall weight and PD180 power behind it, deck mounted hold/release mechanism holding the plane from creeping forward until at full Rev, and the...

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

This is a must for all UAV’s like TB2 and Anka that operate near battlefield areas and our attack helicopters. With it’s ~30km range (30cm resolution from 27 km away) and capability to differentiate between military and non military thanks to the software developed, it is a great FLIR. It is a...

As it stands it’s firing speed is only 5 less than Oto-Melara but falls short of “super rapid” , by 45 rounds per minute. Range is the same as the Italian counterpart compact model for normal rounds. Vulcano is another story! Oto-Melara holds 10 more rounds in it’s belly. I would like to see...

With arresting wires you only need less than 100m to stop the plane. But if you want to make use of the full load capacity of your plane, you need a lot of wing and engine power and most importantly long runway. Varan’s port side runway is for landing. Take off runway starts from the aft of the...

232 m for the whole ship. You have a big area at the back that is not included in the deck. Also there is the cut-out for the lift. If you take them all out you may end up with a deck shorter than 200 metres.

The surface of TCG Anadolu was tempered especially to withstand f35’s engine heat. If they start laying arresting wires, they will have to destroy parts of this surface. Also if they want to use both UAV and Hurjet, then hydraulic arresting system is no good. They need electromagnetic system to...

I had discussed this in earlier posts and in other forums with a lot of resistance from others. Hurjet needs a little help with wing area (HalTejas is a delta wing plane giving it a lot more lift. Also we don’t know how heavy Hal Tejas was at take off) . But with a TVC version of EJ200 at 30%...

https://www.savunmasanayist.com/tomahawk-deniz-hedeflerini-vurabilecek/ US is bringing on a new sea warfare strategy. Tomahawk missiles will be able to hit moving sea targets. What has this got to do with the explosive power of the MRAShM? Also I was pointing out that the missile flight profile and performance must have been optimised for sea skimming flight. Hence it is probably most comfortable and fastest at this mode. By the way; I agree with what you say. But as...

TR Missile & Smart Munition Programs

As it is a sea skimming missile in design, it will have to get down to sea skimming altitudes to be effective and during the last 25-30 km it needs to be as fast as possible to get to it’s target since within that last 30km it will start to be visible to enemy radars. Another point is that...

On it’s specs it says it can reach 0.9 Mach speed at an altitude of 5000ft. That means either any higher, then it may not have enough oxygen as the air is rarified and performance drops, or any lower, then the air is too dense for it to achieve high subsonic. But as the latter is directly...
