On paper its not much, but it will be significant in the real world - especially due to the effects being compounded by every ton of useful payload/fuel you add.

    India India - Pakistan Relations

There is a major difference though - US no longer desperately needs Pakistan in Afg, and there are going to be major differences in their attitude toward Pakistan's relationship with China going forward.

    India India - Pakistan Relations

There has long been a saying: Pakistan is run by three As Army Allah America It has been proven true yet again. In some ways the developments have been pretty positive for both US & India - they get to consolidate a military leadership they're willing to work with vis-a-vis Afghanistan or...

Thailand Decision on submarine deal only after talks, says Navy chief

The same is the problem with the subs contracted for Pakistan. They were supposed to be equipped with MTU diesels but Germany later backed out - now they're going with lower quality Chinese ones.

    India Missiles and Guided Munitions

Currently they are inducting PL-15E from China - which is a dual-pulse solid rocket missile (similar in concept to India's under development Astra Mk-II) for achieving long range, but no Ramjet program in the works as far as I know, so can't be compared to this SFDR or Meteor. At some point I...

I'm pretty confident all Indian-origin missiles & PGMs can be integrated without any issue...the only exception would be BrahMos NG because of Russian components.

I think that for a STOBAR application where the burden of takeoff is going to be completely on the plane's own engines, I'd rather put my money on the 2 x F414s than the 2 x M88s...414s are just more powerful is all, which should translate into a higher overall payload capacity for F/A-18 flying...

India India - Sri Lanka Relations

If I didn't know that this is all being done with the broader aim of countering Chinese influence, I'd be pretty upset indeed that we're giving away supplies at a time when there's global volatility and commodity prices are facing an uncertain future. ...and all so that we can get lectured...

USA GE is testing the first T901 engine for future US Army helicopters

I have heard of interest in this engine from the Indian side in some circles...very likely to be one of the first export customers (for MLU of IAF/Army AH-64Es). T901 is expected to significantly boost performance of the Apache in environments like the Himalayas.

India India - Sri Lanka Relations

I hope this assistance comes with very strict rules set for Sri Lanka's future economic policy & strategic imperatives (I think we're doing at least the latter). Otherwise SL has proven time & again that it never learns. At some level, I can't help but think at least one of the BRI countries...
