I mean sure they want but operating 240 Kaan and operating 240 F16 are monumentally different. Both regular cost and effort for maintenance etc will make that very difficult
Do we have any companies testing stuff like 6.8mm? It's kinda weird US army decided on it when like entire rest of nato is going for stuff like HK416 including US marines. It's gonna make logistics difficult. We would be smart to offer alternatives if nato at large decides to stock up on it.
If we try to make use as many common subsystems as possible I too support the idea of splitting project into two if given the budget. Light corvette and smaller FAC would make it easier to finalize requirements.
My expectation for navy slightly resembles that of russia though I know russia isn't best country to mirror. Nonetheless. you know they don't have the best budget and only one carrier which is always under repairs. But not having a carrier doesn't mean we shouldn't have proper airstrike...
FAC are low endurance ships and they don't have room for a usv anyways. For most operations where FAC may be used you can also use the USV from home port.
Honestly I'd love if we did something with similar tonnage and weapons load to Karakurt Class corvette, so that they would be able to operate further in east med even without frigates and heavy corvette like ada class that's used like frigate by export customers. Don't know if smaller and faster...
I also wish they focused on reducing the actual job pilot does to fly the plane so the sole pilot can focus on mission systems rather than trying to maneuver but the vision of air forces don't seem to follow this logic. I also find the actual need for using helmet to direct short range missiles...
The reason why that matters is because
1. Very few countries have aircraft carriers and quite a few more have helicopter carriers and amphibious assault ships
2. For US Marine Corps, Mojave landing on things like Wasp class gives them a lot more flexibility and agility without relying on...
In this case that's incorrect. There were already uav landing on aircraft carriers. The race is about landing on LHA / LHD, whereas prince of wales is a proper aircraft carrier
More important question is at what range does F35 detect the radar when radar is using that much energy. It is a deterrent but if the F35 can detect and kill your radars from several hundred kilometers that isn't enough for protection on its own. The second matter is electronic warfare, imagine...
Yeah but akıncı capacity is much smaller than F16. Such a heavy munition would go under the single hard point under the fuselage. It is 5.5 meters, it would cause issues there I think
Egypt has been our rival for centuries what are they smoking, in ottoman empire it was always in clash and competition with cental authority of ottoman empire
No you can't know and calculate all variables prior to engagement, that is the issue. That's why we have AI, is a different approach than regular algorithms. When the search space created by variables are so large that you can't possibly search for actual optimal actions, you use methods and...
