The XM5 has now been re-designated as the XM7.
There are some issues popping up with bulkiness + combat loads (given the larger caliber rounds) along with some design flaws.
Sig Sauer and Pentagon have made some responses to the design flaws popping up....but the bulkiness etc is more or less...
