Strange conclusion here, dont remember Turkey using drones as replacement for fighters, the only area where Turkey replaced fighters (not even completely) is asymetrical warfare. The F-16 and T-129 are still regularly flying missions into Iraq within the scope of ''claw'' operations.

I cant but i guess the whole system is different there, maybe not as many speculators, or the whole grid is state funded in Spain, could have many reasons.
Greece surely lacks a lot to have a formidable drone indistry yet but so was Turkey in the beginning.
I personally dont worry about drones anytime soon but Airforce might get a headache in the future.
People were also laughing at Turkish prototypes, never underestimate others, you might get surprised in a unpleasant way.

I guarantee you if there was no gas dependency Turkey would openly supply Ukraine with much more than now, Russia killed 36 Turkish soldiers in a sneaky attack while pretending to have an agreement to establish peace in Syria.

To be fair, being mediator when one of the sides is Russia is less productive than to talk against a wall.
Turkey is one of the first countries in history to know how well Russian honor any treaty.

Thats also the estimation of Americans but im not so sure about that, Taiwan still has a formidable force and is relatively good defendable as an island nation.
