TR HÜRJET-Advanced Jet Trainer/ Light attack aircraft

Yes, T-7 is 99% likely been chosen but nonetheless it is priceless to stir the Brits by offering planes for half the price

There were talks (or at least TEI CEO Mahmut Aksit mentioned it once) about a twin engine (2x TF10000) Hurjet. But what about keeping Hurjet (LCA version) single engine. Make the LCA version a little bigger, use a single TF35000 engine. I wish SSB would go for a middle class fighter asap...

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

Sure there will be minor adjustments to inlet etc. when swapping engine. But an aircraft can be very well designed to have some engine room for alternatives (Kaan and Kizilelma are the examples) With EF we have zero input and zero room to make any changes. We have to ask the consortium even to...

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

Maybe, but it is not only TAI now producing / assembling aircraft. We revived TOMTAS as well = more capacity We are now experiencing the same as we experienced with our shipyards, taking step back is delaying a whole sector. Had we diverted funds for foreign ships, would we have build the...

Exactly my point, thank you for putting it out so clear

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

On Hurjet there are much more engine alternatives in the class of F404 than the F110. Yes the F404 engine is chosen but we are absolutely not dependent at the mercy of Yanks to replace it by a similar alternative, whereas F110 had very few alternatives (just looking from technical point). You...

Every opinion counts, I see also what proponents of the EF see. But do not just tip away the Hurjet LCA as useless because pairing of Kizilelma with the Italian M-346 have begun. We could match LCA with Kizilelma and we could even finance and quicken to build twin engine Kizilelma that can...

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

Yep that is the only hope left. EF against whom do we need it? Iran? No need Israel? insufficient Greece? Well that's a bummer to buy aircraft from the EU to use against an EU member, good luck with that! We give them a reason not to deliver them at all, just like the UK did not deliver our...

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

I agree, but seen the timeframe of deliveries (2030-32) and Kaan blk10 - 20 planned in that timeframe too someone needs a real good explanation why we throw out billions for a foreign fighter with all the dependencies, weapons integration limitations etc. The primary idea was early induction...

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

Based on which assumption? I do not remember EF successes in major battles. Yes EF did some bombings over Iraq and Afganistan in coalition partner missions. But bombings are common for any fighter jet, nothing special. When was the last time an EF shot another fighter jet out of the sky...

Do we still have refineries to make profit? By my knowledge Petkim belongs to Azerbaijan

    TR Air-Force EF Typhoon

EF is in my opinion a severe investment that is not worth the money we pump in it. The costs is not only the buying of the planes, we also have: - to educate the pilots and ground crews - adjust infrastructure - buy a lot of weapons for these aircraft - become partly dependent on EU nations...

Kaan is not there yet is a bit strange excuse. Typhoon is not there yet (for us) too

If it was up to me I would cancel the whole typhoon order. No typhoons at all, go for LCA Hurjet and produce more Kaan blk 10 / 20

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

For the power there is always a solution, a mini diesel generator in worst case. But only Baykar can tell if the TB3 is suitable for Fulmar 500, it has to fit between the wheels, it needs a certain ground clearance etc. etc. There are more factors than power and weight alone.

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

I really don't know. TB3 payload capacity is 280kg, maybe enough, maybe not. But a Fulmar 500 on a TB3 would definitely be interesting

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

Not 500kg but 500lb (pound). Fulmar 500 specification says weight is 227kg

    TR Defence Exports & Updates

If it is up to me SSB should work to it to get the Belgian order (I do not know if this is possible since the design of the ships belong to Damen) and use this large ship building project to get a few more shipyards to the level of being able to construct large warships. We need more shipyards...

    TR Defence Exports & Updates

Don't know but Kuasar marine has a design of 5500 ton frigate Dearsan F142 design is 5500 ton design I suppose we have several shipyards that can or have the ambition

    TR Defence Exports & Updates

Well I do of course not know the capacity use of TAIS and SEDEF, if they have room they should take the order but if not there are still plenty of Turkish shipyards to step in. My main argument is we should not chase away customers. We try all types of limbo dancing to get market share and...
