Mach 2 capability is mubazir anyway. Almost no aerial combat happen with speed exceeding 1.6 mach. Even F16 can only reach it for limited time with Clean configuration. Look at trends of Latest gen fighters (F35, F18, Rafale, KF21, etc) almost all of them are "slow". Supercruise capability is...
