Another Tayfun test fire took place. Not much information is given but it is at least good thing that test is conducted by Land Forces and not by Roketsan
Well yes for original switchblade 300 but switchblade 300 block 20 has a 1.9 kg warhead which is the total weight of the Alpagu also has both fragmentation and Explosively Formed Penetrator warhead options that can be used against armored targets. Alpagu is a good start but something closer to...
STM Alpagu finally entered Turkish Army Inventory after 5 years of development time. Hopefully Alpagut follows shortly after. On a sidenote I die inside little more each time I see a new indigenous drone with a fragmentation warhead. Alpagu apparently has a 270 gr fragmentation warhead which...
I don't see any reason why wouldn't the majority of both IRST and Radar processing be onboard just like a manned fighter jet. They would only transmits the things they detect/track which still is hard to do but nothing compared to video feed. Only exception to that would be Radar on SAR mode
I am not against the Qatari deal because we simply don't have the time to wait for the production lane but is buying second hand aircraft that is not even 5 years old really cheaper than buying brand new. I would have guessed that current global climate would make secondhand jets with quick...
Brochure TAI shared couple days ago says Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air configurations. It will also serve as a loyal wingman to Kaan in MUM-T concept so it should have a radar. And I doubt it will be anyting else than Murad
"Demiroğlu also gave an important detail regarding the tests of avionics being developed for KAAN. He stated that a flying laboratory based on the Bombardier Global 6000 business jet has been supporting the tests for KAAN’s AESA radar." - From TurDef...
Apprently Murad-100 AESA radar has been implemented to 6 platforms and they are "very satisifed" with its performance so far. I wonder what could these 6 platofroms be:
1 - F16 Özgür 2
2 - Akıncı
3 - Testbed
4 - Kızılelma(?)
5 - Anka-3(?)
6 - Hürjet(?)
Arda Mevlutoğlu claimed that the big delivery might be from first Siper procurment deal signed in 2018 totalling 566 million at the time since this is the first "serial production" delivery of Siper. If that is the case there is still a lot of standing deals waiting to be delivered
I don't think they will ever publish stealth tests because there isn't much to show and it is one of the more guarded topics. But Ahmet Akyol has said that they are collabarating with Baykar on things like sensors but also on the stealth. I would guess that includes testing against best radars...
New İlter J-350 drone detection and interception system deliveries by Boğaziçi Savunma. From my layman prespective looks like a very effective system for soft kill defense in places that would be targeted with modified commercial drones or cheap long range drones with its Radar, radio frequency...
Baykar doesn't seem to have any problems getting Ukranian engines(They are apparently assembling the 6th prototype) so if everything else is ready I don't think engine would be a huge problem for Anka-3. But do I think it is ready for serial production? hell no
Yeah that is what I thought but Anıl Şahin claimed otherwise even going into detail about how Akrep-1000G detects the target then transfers the information to Alp-100g for locking. I guess it is my fault expecting correct info from those guys after so many fuck ups lol
The real question is how long will it take to produce that many systems? It seems like Siper production rate will be 2 maybe 3 per year at best even with the newly opened facilities which is not bad at all but considering how critical our situation is. A lot more investment in the production is...
SavunmaSanayiTV claimed that Alp-100g was the target lock radar for the Siper system but then why the different Camo? And as far as I can understand it uses the same architecture as Siper's own radar so what is the difference? It doesn't make much sense to me
