Biggest issue for the US is a lack of qualified Workers and terrible management and that will not be fixed any time soon thats why this program will not yield a large number of warships any time soon.
I class is a bit to small for adequate USV. Large surface vessels like TF2000 or other ships be it a new frigate or support ship. I do think a dedicated USV carrier is useful kinda like aircraft carrier but with USVs. Also Larger vls like KVLs II can be used for longer ranged interceptors and...
Perhaps we will also follow the same design as the koreans with their vls setup. Having a mixed layout could improve the missile capacity instead of making the missile fit we make the vls fit and could ease quadpack integration.
There is a high likelihood that after 4 Tf2000 a new more "cost effective" frigate/destroyer will come there was even an article to that in TurDef, because Tf2000 will cost 3 to 4 as much as I class and a ship similar to european destroyer designs could be more useful because you could have 2...
As i remember Istif has reached its limits though a design based around the Milgem family design is likely using similar design elements but a ship that we envision with 5-6 thousand displacement should look different.
The İstif project is progressing well. We are also looking forward to the additional frigates—which we might call "İstif+"—that will feature an expanded weapons payload.
Interesting
This can be used by other vehicles like 6x6 or 8x8 or any other larger vehicle. Yalman turret for instance could fire 8 missiles and a large vehicle could carry dozens of missiles internally.
That’s I think the most interesting part about this test. The last time ÇAKIR was fired with a rf seeker was 3 years ago(they didn’t specify the seeker but it lacked an IIR seeker back then).
