First few minutes of this feature vid, brings up how they (Bharat Forge) basically moved a whole (RUAG) production plant from Switzerland to India for artillery production....and then optimised it for local production and further innovation. Swiss have strong defence industry that hopefully...

Interesting archival and ongoing footage....

You have to consider the full cost of the system and other contextual factors. A) The time and cost of training of pilots (since I doubt a USAF mercenary system will/can be used given escalation dynamic) on completely new different system. B) The significant infrastructure needed for...

A-10s were to deal with mass soviet tank formations optimally during the blitz of such war (before it turns nuclear if it did)....specifically how they would be channeled into a few corridors in German topography iirc. Present situation in Ukraine is one where artillery and bunker nodes are...

Lot of Indians often say Russia has been some extremely reliable partner in defence tech. But Russia also played games with India @Ecderha @UkroTurk et al., only solution is to establish and develop as much capacity by oneself. Especially with Russia and China coming together in stronger...

Just take it easy man how you approach this stuff. You are not from India....but you are welcome to come to our section (say coffee thread etc) and bring up each political or structural flaw you perceive to debate. It is not like everything you say is wrong. Indians here have debated these...

The largest inconsistencies for me w.r.t Jinnah was the original maximalist approach for a Pakistan with undivided Bengal and undivided Punjab just given to Pakistan....and also trying to spur further cleaving of India on other identity basis (past religion). The third is the ad-hoc process...

I am simply asking you point blank, if genocidewatch is good for the goose, is it good for the gander? You seem to think the Turks here were born yesterday regarding "just read X Y Z (selectively), anyone can do so"....when it comes to accounts given by "insert independent organisation...

If one is going to give a text wall rant/spam using genocidewatch and other piecemeal ad-hoc stitching together littered with anecdotal assertions.... Maybe one can simply check if the same basis is used for say Turkey w.r.t what genocidewatch lists as status alert and analysis for them....and...

It's different....but each situation is different in the end. Turkish republic did not found itself as simply the muslim homeland for say all of ottoman empire's muslims that preceded it (and say partitioned itself along these lines - i.e are you muslim or not and are you the majority of the...

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/indian-sukhois-c-17-touch-down-in-australia-for-major-multi-nation-pitch-black-exercise/articleshow/93664405.cms NEW DELHI: Four Indian Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets and two C-17 Globemaster-III strategic aircraft have touched down in Australia for the...

Well the constitution was not drafted yet to do that kind of thing (Jinnah around for it or not). India was a dominion for 3 years before it became a republic.....and Pakistan stayed a dominion till 1956 or so iirc. So in Pakistan's case a great deal was determined by what Jinnah set in motion...

Commendable accomplishment by the Ukrainians integrating HARM with Mig 29. I wonder how many more NATO munitions will be integrated after this too, now that this has been proven. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/ukrainian-mig-29s-are-firing-agm-88-anti-radiation-missiles

I have been saying for quite some time now that more of (relevant parts of) Indian defence establishment from top to bottom needs to learn Mandarin. Glad it among other things was brought up here, well worth watching for IND-PRC-ROC watchers.

@Jackdaws @T-123456 et al. You might find this interview of one Pakistani historian (I. Ahmed) response to another one's publication (A. Jalal) interesting. It gives a (strict evidence based) counter perspective to some arguably more fanciful projections that have been developed w.r.t...

Im just telling you what "the fuss" is about...and what the appropriate hypothetical "fuss" would be to compare in other contexts different to India. People (and their representatives they elect) locally were promised certain things and got used to decades of one system and it was removed...
