Neil Hauer recent tweet thread: Something I've noticed over the past week or so here: almost every Ukrainian I spoke to has made it clear that they blame not only Putin, but the average Russian as much (or more) for this war. The view is: we overthrew our corrupt government, and they accept...

They can blab whatever they want in their filthy media... We know exactly what they will have to do first to get principled themselves on their own logic: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10627511/France-Germany-Italy-sold-hundreds-millions-pounds-worth-arms-Russia-despite-ban.html...

Ukrainians in coming days and weeks will most likely be doing their upmost to interdicting the russian supply chain from belarus to kyiv. Preferably if possible to do counter attack and maybe leave isolated Russian troops at Kyiv area. Similar to stalingrad situation etc. The positioning is...

The main issue is keeping stuff on hair trigger (to do short - intermediate range first strike or tactical strikes)....makes those warheads very detectable and vulnerable to a first strike themselves. That costs lot of money to mitigate against (and retain CnC reliability + safety over...

Most likely spreading their commanders to hedge (in hardened bunkers) in next phases of the conflict if it broadens to something more direct with the West (or do the proper bluff to try indicate that to West) .....Read my last few replies.

Right now in another place, bunch of us are having a big debate over Russian nuke specifics. i.e where do they keep their best + most reliable ones.....in silos or subs? Our great mentor (sadly passed away from covid) there many years back estimated at best 60% reliability given the...

Ukrainian forces say they launched a successful counterattack against a Russian armored column in the Kyiv region. On March 15, RFE/RL correspondent Levko Stek surveyed the aftermath of the battle.

TIFWIW (i.e this is by no means verified or vetted...and could be part of the Russian or Western disinfo as well)....and interesting read nonetheless to muse a bit on.... Russian FSB whistleblower leak (section from March 13th internal letter): Operation “Gordian Knot” 1st Stage: Most likely...

The raw populations were lot lower under British (for same amount of artery intensity). This plays a big role in safety ability. My dad each journey we did on train, would point out all the unsafe areas due to population pressure in area....simply didn't exist back when he was a kid. This...

Well they are sons of the soil, so of course it is to be expected. Changes a great deal when you are the occupier.....even when fighting defensively. There was a great fighter hercules met, and he was undefeatable (and was getting the better of even mighty Hercules in their contest) as he was...

You might think its sisyphean heh....but I actually have found it can spawn chain reaction stuff too. On a very different but somewhat similar matter, I remember advising a friend of mine (many years back) how to manage his anger...and then work to conflict resolution. It took some time, but he...

Completely different context and setting. Ukraine was not in a deep civil war, replete with extreme atrocities (and refugee situation caused by it) for better part of a year preceding it. Russians are not seen as liberators anywhere....not even in the Russian speaking majority areas to the...
