Yeah,very strange loss.:unsure::unsure::unsure:
India was the favorite from day 1.
Not strange at all when one team plays for the money and most others play for passion add to the fact that team has a cricket board who only care about the business aspect.

tbh, I couldn't care much. I liked the Sachin era of cricket I grew up with and I remember the best moments fondly. Test Cricket is also the highest form that counts the most for me, ODI is just equivalent of rapid chess (rather than long time control chess where the true art occurs mostly). I despise blitz chess just like T-20....the game is just not the same thing at all.

I wouldnt enjoy my favourite operas and classical pieces, sped up and squished into a few minutes either.

After he (Sachin) retired and that 2011 WC was great send-off for him..... and more of the T-20 disease seeped into the game's focus overall, I now maybe only somewhat care about harnessing Pak tears from when we beat them in ODI WC to maintain perfect record...to add to nice previous vintages I have collected (since 1992 when they even won the WC lol).

Rest is just some extra vanilla ice cream, meh!....there's better desserts I enjoy elsewhere with freetime. My heart just isnt in cricket anymore after Sachin left (Ive tried to reinvigorate it a few times, but no dice). The 90s Era carrying into 2000s was just the best for me, no comparison.

I just enjoy to annoy people that are way invested into the (ODI format) game now....and you betrayed that by having support to South Africa lul (being a Bong its common to have another team lul)....and truly a dbl digit run score is pathetic for A-tier team....hence that poke when it happened, irresistible for me.

I will have fun trolling lot of salty Indians now too.

The problem is when you dont have the one bad game in group stage etc to get the bad mojo out. So I got this vibe that the one bad game is going to come in semis or final for knockout....it ended up happening in final. Whatever lol.

I mean Aussies earlier almost lost to Afghanistan in this tourney haha....till a superstar innings from maxwell (probably the highlight of this tournament and maybe all world cups).

You know how dutch feel about 74 world cup. It was yours to have...and then the final happens....and its dreaded team that is overrated and won way too many times now lol. Aussies are like the darn Germans (they upset the hungarians one great chance at WC too earlier)....this is like their 6th win, crazy....means they have won it 6 times out of total 13 tourneys....about half o_O.

Someone (esp NZ and RSA who havent won one yet being A-tiers) make it stop! Its why I support any team against them (except Pakistan).

India is the equivalent of Brazil but underperforming a lot.

Thats true. Could have pulled through to give Kohli a good retirement legacy like Sachin. Oh well.

ICC world cups are probably the second most watched sport after FIFA events. You should really give it a go. And become one of the very rare species of Turks who understand the game.

Table Tennis has higher chance to become popular in Türkiye than Cricket.

Rotary still has a long way to go.

Rotary is not fuel efficent enough. Its a plug in hybrid it would be better if it was a proper hybrid which charges the battery under breaking.
It also burns lubricating oil, which is the original reason for its abandonment.

Can this flag even be bought in Azerbaijan? How did they explain it to the tailor ? 😁

Stupid people,no matter who's flag, you dont do that.

I personally don’t approve such shows of grudge. Not when a nation’s flag or any other sacred symbols involved, like a holly book or flags and so on. It’s beneath us. It’s beneath Turkic nations.

Early this year some provocateurs burned Quran in front of Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. And just as those provocateurs hoped, a bunch of bright guys burned Swedish flag. Not the best display of a high character.

This is what I posted back then

A very well known story. A true story. Maybe we should remember it at this particular moment.
When the Turkish Army recaptured Izmir, some zealots laid down a Greek flag on the ground, beneath Ataturk‘s feet so that he could step on it on his way to the city hall. He, however, simply tripped around it and asked what was that about before entering the building. They in return, told him that the king Konstantine of Greece stepped on Turkish flag when he had visited Izmir during the occupation. He simply replies:
”He blundered.. I can’t reprise the blunder… A flag is the honor of a nation, not to be thrown on the ground and stepped on. Remove it!”

Moral of the story; by not sinking yourself into the gutter where your enemy crawls in, you take your dignity to the top.

I will quote Ataturk’s response again
”He blundered.. I can’t reprise the blunder… A flag is the honor of a nation, not to be thrown on the ground and stepped on. Remove it!”

Like him or not, the guy had a steely character, a self confidence in monumental proportions and he carried it with dignity.
As the younger generation would put it, ’dawg had huge balls of steel bruh’ 😉
