Forty-three countries including Turkey on Thursday at the United Nations urged China to "ensure full respect for the rule of law" with regard to the Muslim Uyghur community in Xinjiang, where human rights violations remain "particularly" worrying.
"We call on China to allow immediate, meaningful and unfettered access to Xinjiang for independent observers, including the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights and her office," the countries said in a joint statement, read at the U.N. by France.
"We are particularly concerned about the situation in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region," the statement said, citing "credible" reports that "indicate the existence of a large network of 'political reeducation' camps where over a million people have been arbitrarily detained."
The declaration, signed by the United States, European countries, Asian states and others, spoke of torture, cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment, forced sterilization, sexual and gender-based violence and forced separation of children, which it said "disproportionately continues to target Uyghurs and members of other minorities."
China's ambassador to the United Nations, Zhang Jun denounced what he termed the "lies" and "a plot to hurt China." He quickly stepped in to reject "unfounded accusations."

"Xinjiang enjoys development and the people are emancipating themselves every day and are proud of the progress made," he said, supported by Cuba, which criticized any interference in China's internal affairs.
In 2019 and 2020, a similar declaration was made public in the same way by Britain and Germany. After garnering 23 backers two years ago, the declaration gained the support of 39 countries last year. They were joined this year by Turkey, Eswatini, Portugal and the Czech Republic, according to diplomats.
On the other hand, Haiti dropped its backing for the declaration after its relations with China were complicated by Port-au-Prince recognizing Taiwan.
Switzerland also dropped its signature from the statement because, diplomatic sources said, it recently hosted a high-level meeting between the United States and China and decided to prioritize its role as facilitator between these two powers rather than signing the annual declaration calling for respect of human rights in Xinjiang.
According to diplomats, China is increasing pressure every year to dissuade U.N. members from signing the declarations, threatening not to renew peace missions in said countries or preventing others from building new embassies in China.

What's noteworthy in this case is that China until a few years ago could register the support of 40-odd countries. This has gone up to 69 with many East European and South Asian countries joining African nations who are dependent on China for commercial and economic reasons.

This increase in the number of countries supporting the Chinese position on Hong Kong, Tibet and Xinjiang, sources said, stand out in contrast to even Russia, which could hardly get about 15 countries to endorse a statement on its position in the Ukraine crisis.

Now this is more of a west and China fight than anything to do with Xinjiang and Hong kong, each year it plays out and countries around the world to choose camps.
This year China had 17 new countries joined in China's camp and the western camp registered 4. but lost 2 too, Haiti dropped its backing for the declaration.Switzerland also dropped its signature from the statement.
landslide victory for China.

Wonder what the defenders of the ummah voted. Wasn't one of the whole reason this forum was created because PDF was in denial of crimes against Uyghurs and handed out bans to Turks. Why are we allowing this to continue on a Turkish managed forum.

I haven't seen the forum admin doing anything that censored crimes on Uyghurs yet

In 2020, 39 countries signed a statement read by Germany and this year the statement had four more signatories.

However, Cuba, which had only 45 signatories last year, got 17 additional countries to support China this year.

How many of these supporting countries are in debt to China in any way?

Joint statement of 69 countries at the Interactive Dialogue on High Commissioner's annual report at the 47th session of the Human Rights Council
2021/06/22

Madam President,
I have the honor to deliver the statement on behalf of 69 countries.
Respect for sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states and non-interference in internal affairs of sovereign states represent basic norms governing international relations. Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet related issues are China's internal affairs that brook no interference by any external forces. We support China's implementation of "one country, two systems" in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
We maintain that all parties should abide by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of universality, impartiality, objectivity and non-selectivity, respect the right of the people of each state to choose independently the path for human rights development in accordance with their national conditions, and treat all human rights with the same emphasis.
We call upon all states to uphold multilateralism, solidarity and collaboration, and to promote and protect human rights through constructive dialogue and cooperation. We oppose politicization of human rights and double standards. We also oppose unfounded allegations against China out of political motivation and based on disinformation, and interference in China's internal affairs under the pretext of human rights.
Thank you, Madam President.
Algeria, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, China, Comoros, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, DPRK, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia, UAE, Uganda, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe

They need to do something to censor western propaganda
Look you enjoy your freedom of speech and get the opportunity to respond to accusations but dont expect the forum to apply the cencorship that you do in your country.
It is a fact that Uyghurs are being denied to live their culture freely and most probably even worse, dont get mad when people talk about it thats the least we can do.

Or all. US still has more money than China, doesn't it?
The point is that all of these countries have an independent opinion, they are not blackmailed to vote against or for anything.
The countries you have mentioned are all in debt to China therefore open to blackmail by China.
Many examples of this have been noted, shown by the international community.
Nobody is fooled by you, this is not PDF.
