So, we're trying to launch MUGEM simultaneously with the Kocatepe, or at least in the same year. Probably, the steel cutting for the second Tepe vassel will begin when the Kocatepe blocks are assembled in the dock. With a moderate-to-optimistic estimate of 16-18 months of building, the second ship could be launched within the year following Kocatepe. By the 2031-32 period, both first and second Tepe destroyers and the National AC may have passed the acceptance phase.
This, of course, is based on the scenario where the construction of the second ship takes shape as soon as the first destroyer is launched. Unlike the Istif project, the second, third, and fourth Tepe-class destroyers will not be built simultaneously; the construction of the second ship will begin first, and production will proceed according to a sequential schedule. Both the construction model and the urgency at MUGEM suggest, in my opinion, that we won't have to wait too long for the second Tepe destroyer.
The main issue is still the MUGEM air wing. We're not even properly discussing what we can accomplish by 2031-32.
