We can't buy them. If Donald John Trump's head is blown off during his inauguration, the USA will be dragged into a second civil war. The political climate is already more tense than ever due to the wildfires in Los Angeles. Then we can't buy those tanks because they will use them to kill each other!!

Proportionally, what is the difference between Altay's first design and its final version?

If only we could just replace the 12.7 mm on Sarp with something that could use airburst munition and act as CIWS..
Was gonna say the same thing, would be nice if they could (if structurally it is possible) reaplce the 12.7mm with 20mm ATOM. The Tank already has radars for AKKOR, they could use it to detect drones and use the 20mm gun with ATOM as the Hard-Kill instead of wasting AKKOR for it.

In theory, we have (and actively use on other platforms) everything we need to make a short range CIWS for land platforms.

We have few radar systems that we use that could detect drones and other munitions, I don't know if sensors on Altay can detect drones from a distance, but if they can't perhaps we could adapt one of those radars to use with Altay.

Aselsan Sarp (and other remote weapon systems) have auto tracking option, as far as I can remember. So we are covered in that regard. And, Gökdeniz can auto-engage targets, so Aselsan has that capability as well. They also have ATOM 35 and 25 mm and I think it was mentioned they were going to make 30 or 20 (or both) as well. So, we either have the munition ready or we know that it can be developed.

Between MKE and others, we know we can make any calibre barrel we need. Perhaps we can use shorter barrels, to help with remote turret adaptation and since it is primarily a self defence weapon, loss of range wouldn't really be important, as long as we can keep it to something like 1 km. Even Venom LR could be an option here.

The question is, can all these hardware and software we have or use in other systems be put together to make a compact (preferably only slightly larger than Sarp Altay has now) CIWS system that we can use with airburst munitions primarily against drones? No fucking idea, but I really hope we can.

Money talks. If a country wants to buy them and they're not in direct conflict with our foreign-policy, they will be able to buy, the religion part is irrelevant. In fact, it's more likely that the majority of the customers would be non-muslims since they are, on average, richer. Mind you, these products won't be cheap.

These are rich islamic countries. Our government has good relations with islamic nations, our Ministry of Trade and Defense should use these networks.

We are selling fuck ton of military equipment and vehicle right now and yet majority of our exports in 2024 were to Europe according to SSB president. If the number of Islamic countries we sell any of those passes more than a handful I'll pop up to Edinburgh and eat haggis.

I find really hilarious that people put so much stock in religion for exports. I doubt their is a single instance someone chose a military product just because a nation was of the same religion instead of what they really wanted/needed or what was cheap.

When we approach events only from a religious perspective, we become more polarized with other countries in the world, just like Israel is polarized with other countries.

Therefore, as a country, we need to cooperate with countries that we have common interests with and act in a more harmonious way with the whole world, we do not need to exclude anyone and make enemies unnecessarily, it is best to approach the parties within the scope of state interests.

It is an undeniable fact that Muslim countries want to cooperate with us to get rid of the influence of colonial countries, but this situation stems from our being a reliable partner, and we must continue to use this situation to our advantage. In addition, our cooperation with countries such as Hungary, Spain, Italia, Kosovo, Georgia, etc. should continue too.

That's... that's my point? I don't understand what you're trying to say here? Countries don't care about religion when making investments like these, hence, counting on others to buy our products just because they happen to be Muslim is ridiculous, and obviously, vice versa.

Correct. My argument is not a counter argument.
