Within the scope of SAHA2026, we held the signing ceremony for the “ORKUN-2053 Helicopter Dipping Sonar Integration Collaboration” conducted with ARMELSAN for our GÖKBEY platform.

We continue to enhance the versatile mission capabilities of our GÖKBEY platform and advance our national technologies to the next level.

This means we'll soon see an armed naval version of the Gökbey. But I'm curious if we'll see a naval version of TEİ's turboshaft engine.

or a Naval utility helicopter which is more likely.
If you're considering a helicopter-mounted dip sonar, it means you're prepared to use it on the front lines of military operations. For air defense, Kemankeş/CUDA missiles, air-to-ground cruise missiles with a 100 km range, maybe mini-torpedo integration. I don't know. I'm just speculating. Ultimately, we won't see a naval version of the Atak helicopter.

I did post in the AC thread, that we should explore the options of using the helicopter for light missions. Which could be possible considering we have UAV and UAS platforms that could do other parts. Which is why I think Utility Helicopter would be more likely.

"The number of Gökbey helicopters ordered from TUSAŞ has filled the production line’s capacity for the next five years.

TUSAŞ aims to increase its production capacity for the Gökbey."

This in itself doesn't say much, because the capacity for now is very low; at most 2 a month. Current governmental order I believe is 83 to all services. Bit more than 1 helicopter per month. 83 aircraft will be delivered until 2031.

15 to KKK, 15 to HvKK, 3+17 to gendarme, 9 to coast guard, 3 to navy, 18 to police, 3 to health ministry.

Still The Army need only to replace old Hellis is more than 120. Let alone when it proves it self with local engine hundreds will be ordered by different armies like: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar ,... Even Egypt and Algeria. But they have to integrate the same engine to ATAK helicopters so these countries will order more as the logistics will be easier.

I have a feeling, Atak helicopter comes as a package with Honeywell engine being a contractual part of that package.
If Tusas is to sell a light attack helicopter, it may have to produce the T-629?? like below??

Well it won't happen overnight. They like keeping everything until it falls apart.

look at the color scheme and see for yourself please.
My bet is on that monstrosity is from Patrouille de France and its their liaison chopper. Or some might argue that it is actually from Russian Knights acroteam too.

Actually, this color pattern seems ideal for a coast guard search and rescue helicopter. However, the coast guard is probably low on the list of urgent needs.

Indeed. And years passed, no movement on T629. There's probably no interest from anyone for a T129 sized attack helicopter with a proprietary unproven engine.

However, the coast guard is probably low on the list of urgent needs.
It really shouldn't be, their 412s are nearing 30 years old. They will get 6 625s in the first batch. I'm really interested in seeing the SAR variant.

TCG is ignored and their capabilities is falling apart. Maybe we could ask the Greeks to guard our coasts, they don't seem to have any trouble getting close.
