Within the scope of SAHA2026, we held the signing ceremony for the “ORKUN-2053 Helicopter Dipping Sonar Integration Collaboration” conducted with ARMELSAN for our GÖKBEY platform.

We continue to enhance the versatile mission capabilities of our GÖKBEY platform and advance our national technologies to the next level.

This means we'll soon see an armed naval version of the Gökbey. But I'm curious if we'll see a naval version of TEİ's turboshaft engine.

If you're considering a helicopter-mounted dip sonar, it means you're prepared to use it on the front lines of military operations. For air defense, Kemankeş/CUDA missiles, air-to-ground cruise missiles with a 100 km range, maybe mini-torpedo integration. I don't know. I'm just speculating. Ultimately, we won't see a naval version of the Atak helicopter.

I did post in the AC thread, that we should explore the options of using the helicopter for light missions. Which could be possible considering we have UAV and UAS platforms that could do other parts. Which is why I think Utility Helicopter would be more likely.
