Last but the least, the ambassador is talking about helicopter! does that mean we are crippling MI28N plan and going for T129?
that would be a wise decision.

And also this news again confirm $1 billion dollars deal in 2021 with Roketsan.
I'm confused , is it 1Billion USD deal with Roketsan or the Entire Turkish Defence Industry ?

Do you remamber any signing agreement with turkey expect that Roketsan Mou in june and another deal with repkon for production of 105mm and 155mm in year 2021?

Wait, hang on! there was other two minor deals for 2 off shore patrol vessel for coast guard and 2000 pistol for police or something.

So my estimate is over $900 millions for Roketsan alone.

Isn't it obvious?MI28NE is impossible now.The discussions about helicopter engine is a strong indication that Turkish helicopters might be added.

As disclosed earlier, tri services will try to ensure that at least some technology is shared every time a major purchase is made.

We lack the expertise required for such projects. Imo co-operation on Carbon Fiber Composites is realistic.

Depends on how much expertise BAF gathers from 216 MROU. They have plan to build heli here. Turkey will provide ToT and expertise too. I doubt it will be an assembly plant for whole engine. It could be for some small componants/parts. Our graduates can work there too.

And 105mm howitzer tender is only for UK and Italy. check out the tender page.

Where did you get that?

Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan has said following the deadly earthquake in Turkey, the Bangladesh government offered help and is planning to send search and rescue teams on Wednesday.

The envoy revealed the information to Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday morning.

Following the deadly earthquake, governments around the world were quick to respond to requests for international assistance in Turkey and Syria, deploying rescue teams and offering aid.

Now, Bangladesh is also set to join the list, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam told Dhaka Tribune.

He said that a medical team is expected to reach Turkey on Wednesday.

The 10-member team will include five members of the Bangladesh Army and Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The team is expected to go to Turkey on an aircraft (C-130) of the Bangladesh Air Force.

It is still being decided who will be on this team, and what equipment and medical supplies will be sent with them.

On Monday, President M Abdul Hamid offered all possible assistance from the government and people of Bangladesh, saying: “Bangladesh Government and its people are always by the side of the disaster victims of Turkey and Syria.”

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also expressed deep shock at the casualties of people and said that the government and people of Bangladesh are standing by the side of Turkey and Syria during this crisis.

Sheikh Hasina also assured all kinds of cooperation on behalf of her government and wished for the quick recovery of the injured.

Rescuers in Turkey and Syria dug with their bare hands through the freezing night Tuesday hunting for survivors among the rubble of thousands of buildings felled in a series of violent earthquakes.

The confirmed death toll across the two countries has soared above 4,300 after a swarm of strong tremors near the Turkey-Syria border -- the largest of which measured at a massive 7.8-magnitude.

Turkish and Syrian disaster response teams report more than 5,600 buildings have been flattened across several cities, including many multi-storey apartment blocks that were filled with sleeping residents when the first quake struck.

Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan on Thursday sought help from Bangladesh as the country is struggling to overcome the enormous challenges being hit by twin earthquakes and many aftershocks.

He said they are not interested in receiving cash support but winter clothes and medicines and other materials are preferred from Bangladesh.

In a media briefing at the Embassy, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to the government and people of Bangladesh for coming forward instantly after the earthquakes.

He said the next one or two days will be very crucial to save more lives.

Ambassador Turan said no Bangladesh citizen has so far been affected.

He, however, said a former Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh (immediate past Ambassador) who was posted in one of the affected provinces remains missing soon after the earthquake hit there.

"Unfortunately, we don't have any information about him," said Ambassador Turan, seeking prayers for his quick rescue.

The Bangladeshi government sent a search and rescue team by military aircraft last evening and declared a day of national mourning with flags lowered at half-mast on all government premises for Thursday.

"This is a gesture we will not forget. There is an outpouring of support and solidarity by the people of Bangladesh on social media too," said the Ambassador.

Did he mention which type of helicopter?
No, but we can guess pretty much one possible contender at the moment, which is T129.
Cause, BD seems to be backing up from the plan of buying MI-28N from Russian federation given the current circumstances.

The T129 has evolved a lot since it first got produced, and has been used in Syria multiple times. It's battle-proven and has just improved after getting feedback. 50 million per attack helicopter is not a bad deal! When Turkey sort its engine issues with their TS1400 then we could see a deal between Turkey, and Bangladesh.

Video was posted 12 days ago. Then you're right maybe and this could be something new. If that's not it then only thing come to my mind is CDDL's two projects. Turkey was pitching for them.

DHAKA, Bangladesh

Mohammad Azgar, 55, a rickshaw puller in Bangladesh's remote northern border district of Panchaghar, who occasionally work in the capital Dhaka, was seen riding his rickshaw in a gloomy mood in the upscale Gulshan area.

The long-beared man with a green apron set by the Dhaka City Corporation was speechless for a few moments sitting in his driving seat while asked about catastrophic earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria.

"They (nationals of Turkiye and Syria) are our brothers and sisters. Their pains mean our pains. As I am a poor man, I have no capacity to donate to them. But I prayed to Allah to help them," Azgar told Anadolu with a sad tone.

Standing at a close distance, another Bangladeshi national, Mohammad Kalam, was listening to Azgar carrying a bag at hand.

While asked about his arrival in Dhaka, he told Anadolu that he had come from the central northern district of Mymansing with a big blanket to support Turkish people from the bitter cold.

"I am saddened and stunned when I see through social media that people, including children, are suffering from bitter coldness amid the disaster in Turkiye. With my best capacity, I have bought this heavy blanket to donate to any victim family in Turkiye," Kalam said.

The man later came to Bangladesh's headquarters of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Dhaka's diplomatic zone of Gulshan and handed it over.

Like Kalam, hundreds of Bangladeshi nationals from different distant areas of Bangladesh on Saturday came to Dhaka's TIKA office for the second day to donate necessary items like warm clothes, dry foods to support disastrous Turkish people through the country's state-run agency.

Almost in the same breath, people from all walks of life in Bangladesh have expressed their profound condolences and sympathy to Türkiye after twin quakes shook the region.

"Since the devastating earthquake hit Turkiye last Monday, I can't sleep properly as the scenarios of the destruction and helpless faces of the victims, including tender kids, always appear in my mind. I pray to Allah - please don't test any of us with such catastrophe," Sabina Yasmin, a housewife in Bangladesh's southern coastal district of Chandpur, told Anadolu over the phone.

Overwhelming donation

Speaking to Anadolu, Bangladesh's coordinator of TIKA Sevki Mert Baris said that the first shipment of Bangladeshi donations had already reached Türkiye.

"Our first Turkish Airlines carrying almost 5 tons of necessary items donated by Bangladeshi people reached Turkiye on Saturday morning while we hope that tonight (Saturday) another shipment of nearly 10 tons to be reached," Baris said.

Expressing satisfaction over the overwhelming response of Bangladeshi nationals to the Turkish disaster, he also informed that Cargo Airlines of Turkiye would come to Bangladesh this night and hopefully carry 100 tons of relief items from Bangladesh and fly for Turkiye Sunday morning.

He also thanked the Bangladesh government for donating 10,000 tents which are essential for earthquake-hit Turkish people.

"Already 2,000 of those tents have been sent while the rest are to be sent soon," said the TIKA official, requesting people to prioritize sleeping bags, tents and heavy blankets so that people amid near-freezing temperatures can use them.

Should've stayed longer.

A fire service rescue team, part of Bangladesh’s rescue efforts in Turkey, returned to the country on Tuesday after completing their work in Turkey’s quake-hit areas.

At around 8 p.m. on February 21, the team returned to Dhaka in a C-130 special aircraft of the Air Force along with the joint rescue team of Bangladesh.

70 tons of relief goods for Turkish earthquake victims have been sent from Bangladesh on a special cargo flight late Friday (10 march), reports Ankara-based Anadolu Agency news.

The cargo flight transported a generous donation of 400 tents, 300 beds (mattresses), 300 sleeping bags, and 700 blankets, TIKA says.

The shipment was personally overseen by Turkish Ambassador Ramis Sen and TİKA Bangladesh Coordinator Sevki Mert Baris, who were both present at the airport.

Baris told Anadolu, "I want to share my gratitude with our Bangladeshi sisters and brothers from all walks of life. They have shown how they like Turkey so much once more."

He added, "Thousands of people came to TIKA's office together with not only the needy items but also they brought their teardrops and emotions. Witnessing this was very impressive and touching for us and this was the most unforgettable moment."

According to official sources, this is the fifth Turkish special cargo flight to carry relief items since Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) started receiving donations in Bangladesh on 8 February - the second day after the devastating earthquakes hit Turkey and killed more than 46,000 while affecting millions.

Bangladeshis are seeking to provide cash aid to quake victims via a banking channel, and the Turkish Embassy is awaiting approval from the Bangladeshi government, sources say.
