How about something related to Piaggio ?
Wouldnt there be a mention of Piaggio being involved,it is still named Piaggio isnt it?
The full name is Baykar Piaggio Aerospace S.p.A.
Lets say it has to do with Piaggio, still there is the question of what the cooperation entails.

Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar described the design of AKINCI:

"It has three brains and two spines. It is designed to make a catastrophic error once every 100 million hours.

AKINCI has a unique broken wing underneath. It actually makes manufacturing very difficult, but it has incredible aesthetics and resembles a fish."

Ankara

According to a statement from Baykar, the company that develops Türkiye's national and original UAVs, it continued to be the world's largest exporter in its product segment in 2025.

Having been a world market leader for the past three years, Baykar broke its own record in 2025 with an export volume of $2.2 billion. Developing globally recognized air platforms, Baykar has also become the driving force behind Türkiye's high-tech exports.
Baykar generated a total revenue of $2.5 billion last year, with 88% of it coming from exports.

Export champion

Baykar, which carries out all its projects with its own resources, has generated 83% of its total revenue from exports since the beginning of its UAV R&D process in 2003. With exports totaling $1.8 billion in 2023, Baykar ranked among the top 10 exporting companies in Türkiye across all sectors.

Piaggio Aerospace, acquired by Baykar, has received its first order for the next-generation P.180 Avanti NX aircraft.

An unnamed European operator has signed an agreement to purchase two of the modernized aircraft presented at the Aero Friedrichshafen 2026 exhibition in Germany.

Baykar Is Establishing an Air Cargo Airline

Baykar, which has become the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturer, is making a new investment in the aviation sector. The company has begun work to establish an air cargo company.

Initially, the company will begin operations with one Airbus A321P2F freighter and also aims to expand its fleet in this field.

Personnel Recruitment Has Begun

According to an exclusive report by www.tolgaozbek.com, the following information was published on Baykar’s career website, which it launched for recruitment purposes:

“Our newly established commercial air cargo transportation company aims to operate in the field of national and international air cargo transportation in accordance with the principles of safety, quality, and operational excellence. Our operations will be conducted in compliance with national and international civil aviation regulations and company procedures, and a professional and sustainable organizational structure centered on a strong safety culture will be established.”

For its air cargo company, Baykar is recruiting not only Captains and First Officers, but also a Dangerous Goods Specialist, Cargo Loading Specialist, Ground Operations Manager, Finance Specialist, Security Manager, Crew Planning Manager, Continuing Airworthiness Manager, and Quality and SMS Manager.

From Passenger Aircraft to Freighter

The Airbus A321 series is currently the largest single-aisle aircraft model produced by the manufacturer. A321 aircraft that reach a certain age can undergo a specialized conversion process in which the cabin and passenger seats are removed and the aircraft is converted into a freighter.

A321s can carry cargo not only in the cabin but also in the area beneath the fuselage. To enable rapid loading of cargo, a large cargo door is installed on the left side of the aircraft. For this reason, these aircraft are designated P2F, meaning Passenger-to-Freighter.

Carries 28 Tons of Cargo

The aircraft has a total cargo capacity of 28 tons. The A321P2F, with a range of 3,800 km, is operated in Turkey by MNG Airlines and BBN.

Compared with its competitors, the A321P2F offers 28% more volume and 22% greater payload capacity.

Technical Specifications

Speed: Cruise speed of approximately 830–840 km/h

Large side cargo door on the main deck (approximately 3.60–3.65 m × 2.13–2.20 m)

• Maximum cargo capacity: Up to 28 tons (approximately 28.1 tons / 62,000 lbs)

• Volume: Approximately 207–208 m³ (containerized; additional underfloor cargo space is included)

• Lower deck: 10 LD3-45W (or similar) containers. 24 positions in total.

Baykar Also Has an Air Taxi Company

Air taxi services are also provided through Cevheri Air, part of Baykar Teknoloji. Cevheri Aviation, established within the Baykar group, began operations in 2022 with a Challenger 605 business jet manufactured by Canadian company Bombardier and registered as TC-CVR.

In recent months, the company has also taken steps to add a long-range Global 6500 business jet manufactured by Canadian company Bombardier to its fleet.

The Global 6500, with a range of 12,223 kilometers, also attracts attention with its spacious cabin.
