Truly a travesty that so many historic and religiously important Sikh sites ended up in Pakistan after Partition.

Pakistan does not only have an Islamic architectural infrastructure. Best of Sikh temples and Gurdwaras are present, mainly in the province of Punjab, where Sikhs from India and from around the world come to pay a tribute and do prayers in these holy settings.
The most famous in this category is Kartarpur in Narowal District in Punjab province and Nankana Sahib City, which is named after the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak, and is the most significant site for Sikhs all across the subcontinent. Guru Nanak was born in the Nankana Sahib and also began his preaching from this very area.
Also, Gurdwara Dera Sahib is also present in the proximity of Badshahi Masjid. Besides, Gurdwara Panja Sahib, present in the proximity of Badshahi Masjid and Shrine of Guru Aryan Dev along with Tomb of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, is also present in the Lahore city. Hundreds of people from the Sikh community gather on a daily basis to perform their prayers and greetings.

Sikh religion has its origin in Western Punjab (Pakistan). The Sikh Gurus were routinely executed by the Mogul monarchs in Delhi. Others who survived, spread their message by escaping the hounding Muslim armies. Our tenth Guru Govind Singh Ji Sahib, picked up the sword and challenged the atrocities. That courage of a single leader who wished to avenge the execution of his own father and his children attracted thousands upon thousands of followers hence birth of Sikh Samaj. Most Sikh following in West Punjab moved to East to escape the atrocities unleashed by Muslim majority directly under the eyes of the British divide and rule rulers in 1947, hence that legacy of active resistance to atrocities continues. They miss their heritage they left behind in Pakistan and wish opportunities to visit them. ……. Today the East Punjab with 60% Sikh population is far more prosperous than the homes and other property they left behind in Pakistan……Long Live Sikh Samaj

O really? From Shahjahan mosque of Thatha to, Badshahi mosques, ancient forts, we don't lack any Islamic architecture. But yes we inherited most is Sikh holy sites which were expanded by GoP
Also sikhs don't have tombs, Ranjit Singh samadhi is inside a gurdwara and not very unique in it's architecture.

You should Google all those sites before they were constructed or expanded.
For example, kartarpur Sahab was just a small building, today it's the largest Sikh temple.

Except there are about 250 million Muslims in India. How many Sikhs in Pak?
By India I meant Indian Punjab and haryana specifically
A lot of our historical saints, mosques, historically relevant figures came from there and there are no Muslims left there either
So we move on with their memories

Interesting. I don’t know of any significant Muslim tombs or mosques in Indian Punjab & Haryana. I always thought most were in UP and one in Rajasthan

" Sirhind was known for dozens of saints, scholars, poets, historians, calligraphers and scribes who lived there. This city is famous to Muslims for Great saint Imām-e-Rabbānī Shaykh Ahmad al-Farūqī al-Sirhindī (R.) (1564–1624). He was an Indian Islamic scholar of Arab origin, a Hanafi jurist, and a prominent member of the Naqshbandī Sufi order. Many buildings survive from this period, including Aam Khas Bagh;[7] it is said that in its heyday, the city had 360 mosques, gardens, tombs, caravansarais and wells."

"In 1857, issued a fatwa against the British rulers.[2] He gathered a large fighting force of locals that drove the British out of not only Ludhiana but also Panipat. He then made way to Delhi to support Bahadur Shah Zafar.[1] He fought a battle alongside the Mughal General Bakht Khan. His wife and seven of his comrades died fighting in Delhi's Chandni Chowk. "

Also most of the Mughal remnants in Punjab including East Punjab were because of Punjabi governors/ generals/ prime Ministers/nawab whatever the name maybe using their positions of power to build up a legacy in their home region (for example mosque in chiniot built by a mughal prime minister of chiniot, Mughal General from Lahores aristocratic family using his influence to build up mughal structures, forts, mosques in the city, last Mughal governor and than independent ruler from sheikhupura is buried in India hoshiarpur)
