At the end of the day are infrastructure investments a benefit to any nation, and if multiple offers come in, you ought to take the best you can.
infrastructure investments only are a benefit IF a nation can attract FDI and high tech factories or else, u will fall into debt trap as u can't pay back the loans.

But in China, the first catchphrase after China's economic reform in the 1980's was 要致富,先修路。

Li means the "disposable income", foreign media just twisted his words. and that is years ago when Yuan was very weak against Dollars. Now Yuan is very strong. as for how much average Chinese make, check out this young village primary school teacher, this job generally being considered a low paying job in China which no one wants to take. it had been improved lately.

Young Chinese village school teacher jumps around with joy after receiving government pay raise. China greatly improved rural school teachers' pay and benefits to enhance rural education. This young rural school teacher jumped around with joy after receiving over 10,000¥ ($1,574)monthly salary via her cellphone.

I'm guessing you're referring to Uganda and the Entebbe Airport here. Just checked the GDP figures for Uganda and they've been on a steep rise since 2016, from 29 Billion up to 37 Billion in 2020. That Airport cost around 700 million if I remember correctly, there was a 7 year grace period for Uganda to set aside funds for repayment and the airport has been functioning in the meantime, on Google Earth you see planes standing at the gates. To me this seems more like a case of extraordinarily bad economic planning than a debt trap, but if you can give me some figures and sources, then I'll stand corrected!

Also, why would you need "high tech factories" if a nation's exports are still low on the value chain? A sufficient infrastructure that lets you steadily and effectively produce low value export products are a more important basis for economic development than high tech factories. And it should be mentioned that natural resources can also help you repay any loans, if you have enough of them.

So, why a nation like Uganda and Sri Lanka need to borrow money if they still can't attract any "high tech factories" to hep them having better lives ??

If Uganda and Sri Lanka didn't borrow CN's money, then they would still not lose their ports.

All developed economies have this problem, Germany, Japan, north Europe... only extremely underdeveloped countries have super high birth rate, your logic is very opposite to how everyone understands the birth rate of a nation.
