For the first time, a Bangla book on space science titled 'Mohabishwer Mohakash Fari’ has been placed in the library of the International Space Station (ISS).
Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemiev sent a picture of this book and a video clip from the ISS on June 3, writer Shah Jalal Jonak confirmed matter to Daily Sun over email.
In video message, Cosmonaut Oleg Artemie said, “Your country and your people should know that a book in your language is already in space, and the next step should be a representative (astronaut) of your people in space and it should be You.”
The book flew into space along with the cosmonaut from Russia's Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on March 18, 2022.
Shah Jalal Jonak is the first Bangladeshi who is currently studying Rocket Complexes and Space Science at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University in Russia with a cent percent scholarship from the Russian Federation and is preparing to become an astronaut.
His book 'Mohabishwer Mohakash Fari' was published in 2020 by Tamralipi Publication. Apart from this book, Shah Jalal Jonak has written 6 more books.
