The coffee culture in India has really taken off. If any of you in India are a member of CRED and want to redeem your points in the beverage section - just check out the offering.

Just before lockdown I attended a screen festival at a hotel and a kiosk was set up by this brand called Blue Tokai. I was really impressed with their offering and now regularly order their blends.

Just a small aside, but another drink that is making a huge comeback in India is Tonic water.
Sad to think that Blue Tokai scores over Imperial Tokaj; O Tempora, O Mores.

Courtesy of USHANKA show:

"Best coffee in the soviet union" (imported from India), but does it beat nescafe "tasters choice" today? Find out!:

Earlier context (esp in 2nd half of vid):

N.B: I personally do not like any instant coffee much at all, must be brewed variety generally.

Ever tasted Turkish kahve?

Yup, a number of times.... I quite like it!

When I visit Turkish friend's place, it is offered first thing.

Also I have had it when at Turkish cafes/bakeries etc....there are some good ones in especially Toronto and Montreal.

Is the Tokaj a brand or do I have to consult a thesaurus to decipher your post?

It is one of the finest sweet wines going, spoken of in the same breath as Chateau d'Yquem (truthfully speaking, it is not in the same class, but at its price, nothing could be better).

Definitely a coffee guy! Mostly breakfast blend type stuff.

Wife bought a modern coffee brewer which doesn't use classic paper filter, so Coffee comes with a bit more oomph

I kinda have mixed feelings about it tbh. Anyone have a take on paper filter vs. steel-wire-filter.

I used to use metal filter a silver one i guess, to be honest it was good until a time i realized i can't grind coffee too thin, it has to be slightly bigger and coffee was never cristal-clear and taste changed if i let it sit for an hour.

I didn't like paper filters before, because they have killed most of the taste and notes,
i have found melitta gourmet, it is pretty good. As i have tested it lets taste as much as metal but also lets to grind thin. Not using metal one for months since i have got this.

There should be an "like both unequally" option. I like coffee but sometimes i also drink tea, specially love the Malai tea when i visit BD.

Whenever I go to some cafe in Jakarta, the pattern was almost always like this:

First drink: Ice cappucino.
2nd: Ice lemon tea / Ice lychee tea or just plain iced tea.

So I guess I'm part of the 38.6% who like both equally.

Bro, well then you just pick which you like better :) ...it is after all which one you overall prefer most of the time etc.

I like tea too, but I picked coffee ...lot of people have picked one even while liking the other, if its close enough then you pick "like both" etc.
