The concept of USV mothership is very strange (read: useless) to me. What will it achieve that can't be achieved with adding a few platforms to existing warships' CICs? Supply? That can be arranged with existing ships, too. A more interesting thing would be a streamlined way to refuel USVs (helicopters?). That would mean USVs can accompany ships on longer missions, provide better cover against sea-skimming missiles, maybe aid with sensors and sonars and such.

Something better I just thought about is kind of like "missile trucks". Think about it, if the coalition in Red Sea had "missile trucks" USVs, the resupply of missiles can be very much streamlined. As it is, the ships need to go into a harbor to rearm. If you use tens of USVs with at most 4-8 missiles, you can juggle them around and be much more creative with force composition. It would also take a huge burden off the main ships as they would have one less job to fulfill.

That's just my 2 cents though. I might be wrong.
The thought process behind my idea is that with 65 metre catamaran mothership (as it was the example I used in the post) you could easily have 6 USVs with (going by the ranges given by our companies) around 400 kms of range and that could have 2-4 Çakırs, and within the ship enough room to store and replace those missiles without a need to go back to port or without risking the mothership as it can remain well out of the range of missiles and as it has 2 decks, or rather 1 very large deck, you can load it up with air defence easily.

Might I suggest you take a look at this?
My idea was focused on USVs specifically to maximise their potential with a ship solely focused on USVs. The ship in the video is more of an all-purpose ship, not that that is a bad thing, it looks like a very good concept.

That cleared things for me. The ability to re-arm at sea would be a huge thing.

And we can give it a different USVs for different missions before leaving the port. We need extra anti-air in an area, load it up with USVs with Sungur or another anti-air system. If we are looking for submarines use USvs with anti-submarine capabilities and go hunting. And again, all of this can be done by using the USVs without really risking the mothership.

Basically, one ship that can change its mission profile as necessary and accomplish its mission without risking itself too much through proxies.

An old concept drawing, some proportions may not be exactly correct but it gives you the idea of how might an USV Mothership look like.

I say better be based on this, got Dynamic positioning, A-frame, Crane and Landing pad that can be used simultaneously. Plenty of deck space for consoles and integrated CIC.
A little bit of work to add another deck to make crane useful with an elevator to store USVs and make it a "workshop" and an access door to use supper structure as hangar for UAVs.

I still think a catamaran would work much better for a usv mothership. More stable than a monohull, large deck can be used used more effectively both for usvs/uavs and for anti-air systems.

Look at the crazy guidance system.

4 bolt guided ammunition.

İt uses 4 sets of ejectable weights for steering

Maybe you get rid of the fins which would reduce complexity, but adding a seeker is just the replacement when it comes to cost problem if you ask me. Honestly, DART ammunition feels way more achieveable, less of a pain to make, and proved itself against UAVs in the Red Sea too.

If that video came across my feed on YT and wasn't from a well-known company like NG, I'd report it as a scam.

Its that bad.

Since we will have two Ada subclasses with VLS, I think its time to talk about an upgrade for our own corvettes

Congrat nice but ada class needs a towed array sonar, secondary asuw unmanned helicopter, vl-asroc kind ammo behalf of air defence. Just because they are asw corvettes.

But Navy wants a make a i class a asw frigate with adding düfas and others on him ada class could be good asuw ships with this upgrade.

I appreciate you. Great ..wouldn't be better GÖKSUR instead of Levent ( Levent missiles are line of sight)? I would put 2x Göksur static launchers in front of ship behind the cannon. Göksur missiles could be launched by non-line of -sight technique.

And where are the UMTAS launchers against USVs?

Allah rızası için biri yapsın şunu . Çatlıycam.

Wonder who the possible customer is, a 76 meters long corvette with most of the weapons and sensors are being selected of turkish defense industry's products.
1719825832918.png

ARES 76 CORVETTE is equipped with comprehensive combat systems with electronics and weapons, most of
which the Turkish industry developed. With a compact combat management system (CMS) integrated with a
capable TDL, the new Corvette will feature a sensor suite including a multi-function 3D-4D radar, Aselsan SeaEye
series EOS (Electro-Optic System), and EW suites. The new platform can control unmanned platforms including
both lightweight and fully outfitted VTOL (vertical take-off landing) unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) as well as the
family of ULAQ unmanned surface vessels (USVs), the latter being deployed and recovered from a stern station.
The corvette is fitted with an ASuW suite including an MKE 76 mm main gun, four or optionally eight Atmaca
anti-ship cruise missiles, and two 12.7 mm remote weapon stations. The platform is equipped with self-air-defense
capabilities centered on a short-range guided missile air defense system alongside MKE decoy launchers. One of
the main features that sets the ARES 76 CORVETTE apart from other similar-sized vessels is its payload versatility
for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) concept. Four (4) Orka Lightweight Torpedoes and a six-launcher ASW Rocket
System from ROKETSAN can eliminate subsea threats identified by METEKSAN’s YAKAMOS Hull Mounted/RT sonar
solutions. Notable supporting sensors and electronic systems are the XBT Launching System and the Underwater
Telephone.

Interesting. The new era of corvettes, No helis but more ASW weapons and USVs.

Are USVs replacing Helicopters in term of ASW?

I am also wondering if ADA-class have ASW rockets?
It has an ASW helicopter. :)

I love the concept, no helicopters but vtol uavs and ability to launch 3 usvs, which could in theory take over the duties of a naval helicopter and more.
I believe it can be configured for a VTOL drone without the AShM launchers. They meant to show the whole capabilities at once. It is flexible among patrol level AAW-ASW-ASuW capabilities.

Oh damn, I couldn't clearly saw it in the pics and assumed they decided to go with vtol to make is appealing with lower price. That is even better. Never mind I can't read while hungry as it turns out.

I honestly love flexible concepts like that when it comes to warships. I wonder how a ship like this would perform in the Aegean in different configuration.
