Is that Arma 2? Explains previous sighting of 6x6 variant. I guess they were testing it for them.

Also for now it seemed that Otokar enters the tenders with Arma1 but I guess it is not the case anymore. They are promoting and selling Arma2 as well now.

There's nothing to suggest a 6x6 version of Arma II exists yet. But it is indeed the same vehicle that was on the leak from the gas station.

Not realistic unless it's navy, helicopter, trainer jet and everything. Especially since we don't have jet engine yet

The 2 I-class is going to KSA, Airdefence systems, KizilElma but no Jets. The money is not enough for Fighters.

Big contracts with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are likely to come within the year.

Pakistani defense social media is speculating 2034 as the possible date for the delivery of the KAAN for the Pakistani air force.

I wonder at what stage are the Jinnah class design activities? I have a feeling that they will start the first batch with the MILGEM-İstif subclass, which has all the engineering completed and is being simultaneous in multiple quantities producing right now. It is also a perfect solution for the KSA.

How the hell can Pakistan sign a contract for KAAN with us. This endeavour is even more ridiculous than the ATAK contract.

Unless, and this is pure speculation, Pakistan is able to deliver an engine to the KAAN platform, and we're really going to be looking at a KAAN-P....

Why am I saying this, well considering that TS1400 was talked as potential engine to power ATAK129, I don't see any proof, which means actual ATAK129 produced with TS1400 engine. That delivers performance TSK wants.

So expecting KAAN with F110 or our own engine and delivery in/from 2034, seems very unreal to me.

I think our defence sales strategy has always been prioritising contracts then ironing the hurdles as it goes.
May not be the best strategy but it's definitely boosting the manufacturing process and keeping the motivation, not to mention the immense promotion that such deals bring with them, e.g. TB-2 after Ukraine got them, Poland, Romania, and many more followed suit.

I read on several sites that Saudi Arabia wants Altay.

If those Saudis are planning to replace their tanks and jets with Altay and KAAN, we should please MBS and give him all the privileges he want.

Saudis are the biggest spenders of the world. The US militairy industrial complex and R&D could grow all those years thanks to Saudi purchases and investments.

Americans are smart and they give those oil princes every comfort/luxury they want (privileges in the USA, free Cadillacs, free hotelsuites, free tickets, prostitutes etc). In turn those Saudis buy yearly for billions of weapons from them.

We can't deliver a engine TF6000 still isn't even made yet, give it a 15 years or something like that If you want a engine that runs and works without any issues.

I saw the specs they are trying to make a engine that is better than any fifth gen engine on the market and that is impossible plus we lack the funds.

Turkish military vehicle manufacturer Otokar inks $110M export deal with African country

BY DAILY SABAH

Turkish defense company and automotive manufacturer Otokar has signed a new export agreement worth $110 million for the sale of military vehicles to an undisclosed African country.
The company informed the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Tuesday about the deal.
A statement declared that the agreement includes Arma 8x8s and Cobra II 4x4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles, as well as spare parts and training services.
The defense manufacturer said that it is the first Arma 8x8 order from an African country, which hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Despite the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Otokar continues to increase its exports of armored vehicles, which it designs in-house and for which the says stand out for their high level of protection and superior mobility.

Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç, whose views were included in the company statement, said that the armored vehicles are preferred in the international arena, displaying worldwide the nation's defense industry capabilities as well as Turkey's engineers and workers' efforts.
While the deal came from a country that the company has exported to before, this "means that the customer was pleased with the vehicles it included in its inventory, going with Otokar again," Görgüç said.
The company said deliveries will begin in 2021 and will be completed by the end of 2022. The contract will come into effect following the completion of the letter of guarantee, the advance payment getting received and the necessary export permits being obtained.
Otokar's Arma 8x8 is the newest member of the vehicle development program that was initially kicked off in 2007. It was unveiled at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul in May 2011. The new generation modular, multi-wheel armored vehicle is said to have superior tactical and technical features and is a multipurpose platform that allows for the integration of various mission equipment and weapons systems.
Thanks to its flexible design, the Arma 8x8 can be tailored to different missions in the field, including as a personnel carrier, command or reconnaissance vehicle, infantry fighting vehicle, maintenance and recovery vehicle, mobile gun carrier, radar vehicle or CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) reconnaissance vehicle.
A subsidiary of leading Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding, Otokar vehicles currently offer services to over 50 customers in more than 35 countries.
The company has subsidiaries and joint ventures in France, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Romania and most recently in November 2019, announced a new branch, Otokar Central Asia, in Kazakhstan.
The local commercial and military vehicle manufacturer has over 30 years of experience in both engineering and design in the field of military hardware. It supplies both NATO and the United Nations while retaining a good deal of intellectual property rights over its products.

After 5 years, we may have an answer. A Cobra 2 and a vehicle that looks a lot like Arma was seen in a Rwandan exercise.
