Madrid's likely simultaneous cancellation of contracts for Israeli anti-tank missiles and American F-35s appears to be no coincidence. Given the significant deterioration in relations between Spain and Israel, Madrid, in my opinion, having found itself in a stalemate, decided to find a replacement for the F-35 proactively rather than wait for Washington, under pressure from the Jewish lobby, to abandon it, as it did with Türkiye.
Spain is also looking for technology transfer which I presume they didn't find with other vendors.

Kale Jet Engines will export jet engines to one more country

Osman Okyay, President of the Defense and Aerospace Manufacturers Association (SASAD) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Kale Group, stated at the 4th Investment Summit held in İzmir that Kale Group will export a jet engine to one more country by the end of the year.

“The engines we produce are mostly used in cruise missiles. In this field, you can only export to countries that already have a certain level of advancement. Brazil was the first of these, and hopefully, there will be other countries soon. There are 10-12 countries with which we are continuing discussions. By the end of the year, we will export a jet engine to one more country, and there may be more than one.”

Spain is eyeing a new 6x6 program as a "stopgap" measure for the problematic 8x8 VCR Dragon while also possibly lowering the total 1000 number for Dragons. Turkish firms will possibly take part in the tender process. Indra and Otokar had signed a cooperation deal last week, and Indra also created a new JV with Edge in UAE.

Dragon 8x8 program, as well as the tracked IFV program VAC are to be cancelled. Chances for FNSS and Otokar are increased a tiny bit. Otokar had signed a deal with Indra and FNSS with TSD and Oesia.
