I'm unsure if the systems shown on video are from Pakistan. They look like promo videos Aselsan shared earlier. But definitely already in service or they will be in near future.

Lots of AI usage, we shouldn't take it as gospel. ASOJ being on a Saab 2000 like their AWACS is also interesting. PK-ASOJ program was signed last year I think. No details whatsoever on it for now.

Everything “Made in the USA” is just way too expensive. America has enough funds, resources and manpower to mass produce ships and other weaponry cheaply but they are way too fat and corrupt to do it. Everyone from their politicians, to the defense contractors, to the generals in the Pentagon etc is corrupt.

A country that has a 1$ trillion defense budget shouldn’t run out of AD munitions after a month of Iranian attacks. Imagine them fighting China with the industrial capacity it has…

229% increase in TRY value from this year to end of 2029. TRY=USD parity they took for end of 2029 I think is about 80TRY, so not much increase as I see it in USD terms.

Didn't they wanted to reach 3,5% defence spending by 2030
With nominal Gdp of roughly 2 Trillion defence spending would be like 60-70 billion

Japan is reconsidering its position over industrial challenges and setbacks for the FFM frigates that might be associated with the US Navy's frigate programme.

Naval News reported that Japan, despite its inclusion in the US Navy's new frigate acquisition programme involving an allied nation, is hesitant due to industrial revitalisation challenges and possible disruptions for the Mogami-class (FFM) frigate deliveries to existing customers.

It is argued by the Japan-based author Yoshihiro Inaba that winning the competition with the Mogami-class does not end the pressure.

Inaba underlined that the hurdles would start with revitalising US shipbuilding, which has fallen into a state of reduced activity and has not renewed its equipment or methods. This means a massive financial burden as well as the matter of training a large number of personnel.

Furthermore, Japan is already building a large number of Mogami-class frigates in baseline and upgraded variants for its own navy and the Royal Australian Navy. Building a large number of frigates, even jointly in the US, might endanger the delivery schedules for the booked customers.

These concerns might lead to the Turkish I-class frigate and ROK's Chungnam-class frigate as the two contenders. Both countries have joint construction experience.

Turkiye's past experiences in this regard include:

• Babur-class corvettes (PN MİLGEM) - Pakistan
• Turkmen-class corvette (Dearsan C92) - Turkmenistan

ROK's include:

• HVS - Vietnam
• Agila Southern Yard - Philippines

Considering the content of the Naval News article on the same matter.

I'd says US is looking for ways to modernize their ancient ship building capabilities.

Build 1-2 ships in Türkiye, then invest insane amount of money in US to enable them to produce the ships themselves.

And it ain't over until the customer says it's done. Which means they can squeeze you for everything.

Add to this changes under way and such.

Maybe @Anmdt has some insight to dealing with US Shipyards or US he can share with us.
