Hakim Air Command-Control System features:

- It will control and manage the Early Warning Radars owned by the Air Force and will fuse the Radar Data it receives to create an accurate and reliable Local Air Picture (LAP - Local Area Picture).

- It will create a Recognized Air Picture (RAP) allowing automatic or manual diagnosis of air tracks, ATO/ACO/Flight Plan/IDCBO and Intelligence Based.

- The Joint Environment Picture (JEP) will be created by correlating the air and surface traces to be obtained from the Land and Naval Forces through the relevant Links.

- It will enable the execution of Procedural Airspace Control and Air Traffic Control activities. It will have Threat Assessment and Weapon Allocation Algorithms to determine the most effective prevention element against Threat Elements at the most appropriate time.

- For Air-Air Intercept, it will allow target assignment to Fighters, creation of intercept geometry and positive and methodical flight control of fighter aircraft.

- It will allow target allocation to Land Based Missile Systems (SAM) for Land-Air Interception and assessment of the situation by obtaining target allocation result information.

- HAKİM will have the ability to work fully integrated and harmoniously with systems such as Air Command Control System, Air Force Information System (HvBS) and Air Defense Radio Network (HSTA). In addition, thanks to the Link-1/Link-11/Link-16 and Jreap-C interfaces it will have, it will be able to work in harmony with NATO-compatible Command and Control Systems and Weapon Systems.

- HAKİM Air Warning Command and Control System will work in full integration with the new generation RadNet System, EIRS Radar, HİSAR and SİPER Air Defense Missile Systems, which will enter the inventory of the Air Force in the near future.

- With its Overseas version, HAKİM will have an infrastructure that can work in full integration with the eastern bloc radar and weapon systems.

We are planning to enter the Air Command and Control System, which will be developed within the scope of HAKİM Project, into the inventory of the Air Forces of both countries in 2023. Within the scope of this project, the Turkish Air Force Command will have a national Air Command Control System in NATO standards, as well as the ability to work and operate together with the Air Force of the country in question. In the long term, with the inclusion of the HAKİM System in the inventory of other possible countries, the infrastructures will be provided for our Air Forces to work together with the Air Forces of different countries.

Aselsan has also been selected to provide new internal Communications systems for both vehicles. In a parallel move, FAMAE plans to develop its own FCS for the Army’s M109 self-propelled howitzers, collaborating with Chilean company Village and basing the new system on the NEKULPAN fire C2 system (SMCF), already in Service on the LARS 160 rocket artillery systems and the TRALCAN 70mm MLRS.

OIP must therefore develop the basic and conceptual engineering, before making the modifications that allow installation of the new observation and targeting system.

A mid-life upgrade has been planned for the LEOPARDs (approx. 170) and MARDERs (approx. 280) since their acquisition some 15 years ago. In 2018, the Army’s Directorate of Projects and Investigations (DIPRIDE) initiated the ‘PROACO’ programme, to develop modernisation plans for the upgrades noted above. An estimated budget of $7 million (€5.9 million) was approved for development of prototypes and in 2020 the Army assigned the project to FAMAE.

Turkey should not sell kargu drones by any means until a perfect countermeasure or a more advanced version that makes the current one obsolete is prepared

Kargu is nothing too advanced. It's a basic swarm suicide drone, Israel and the US have been exporting stuff like that for years and I doubt Turkish stuff is much better than theirs.

And if you're referring to the Libyan "terminator AI hunting humans on its own" fear-mongering, the actual company already came out and said that it's horseshit and that the Kargu has no such capabilities.

We know that Kargu have been used in Azerbaijan (there are compelling videos of it) but this tweet say that it is the first export so I assume that the used drones were "donated" or maybe even operated by Turkish operators. It could be that Azerbaijan now have bought their own batch but this is pure speculation from my side. Anyway, Azerbaijan should definitely buy a large batch of Kargu.

So the cost of "i class" can reach as high as 400 million per ship depending on what is in the deal. 3 billion is an overestimate but 2 to 2.5 billion is realistic. Bangladesh might be willing to get systems like Cenk-S rotating AESA radar, Hisar air defense missiles, Atmaca anti-ship missiles which will contribute to the total cost.
