Hi all,

As you may be aware, there have been a number of outages recently. These have mainly been due to the server storage being maxed out. I've had to remote in and clear space manually to get DefenceHub back online.

The next server payment is due by the 21st of August. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances this next payment will be difficult to afford, especially because it will come at an increased cost due to a full upgrade being necessary. Storage space will increase from 80GB to 180GB, all other hardware, RAM, CPU, etc. will be upgraded from legacy to modern variants (hosting company hasn't specified exact technical specifications).

This upgrade will not only be necessary to stop outages, but will also increase speed and will facilitate the eventual upgrade to the next iteration of the forum software we use.

We have till aug 21 so there is time....we got half done in just a cpl days time.

Maybe a few days later we can start visibility on cay bachesi etc as well to infuse another run to get the 2nd half of target done.

Seems like PayPal is restricted depending on location (on GoFundMe). I could perhaps find my old PayPal account and provide the details if anyone wants.

Just wanted to say that even if DefenceHub has been a money pit, I'm glad it exists! Not only does it stand out in a sea of boring websites and huge social media platforms (with toxic algorithms ), but when it does go down, I start to realize how good of a source it is for anything military/geopolitical (so much better than scrolling on X). I'm glad you guys have stuck by it for so long. Thank you all again for the donations.

Alright. Here’s what’s going on.
I don’t use gofund and other sites or apps related to any financial transactions. I hope you don’t get me wrong, I don’t object to such payment methods. It’s just me.
But I wanna do my share as well, just like you guys.

Go-Fund-me is asking for a good deal of personal information. Many foreign based members would be unwilling to share this on a site they are not fully informed about. Many, including myself have not even heard of gofundme.
A payment system like PayPal that is more widespread will make it easier for everyone to donate.
