The Chinese military has released footage showing a strike by a Dongfeng-26B (DF-26B) intermediate-range anti-ship ballistic missile against a full-scale replica of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). For the purpose of these exercises, a mock-up of the American carrier was constructed in the desert. It is known that Chinese engineering units build such ship replicas in the desert, equipping them with specialized sensors and radar reflectors to simulate actual targets. The DF-26B anti-ship ballistic missile is estimated to have a range of over 4,000 kilometers.
