Casablanca financial city


Casa-anfa financial hub will be a 350-hectare hub created in the city of Casablanca. The new financial city center commits 100 hectares as a business district for leading financial institutions, and companies. The rest of the area will be devoted to parks, shopping malls, TGV train station, as well as real estate for inhabitants.

Prime minister of Spain Pedro sanchez visited Morocco on a official visit, accompanied by FM Jose Albares. PM Sanchez arrived in Rabat today for a working visit, seeking to further boost bilateral ties with Morocco at all levels.

“Relations with our neighbor, friend, and strategic partner are at their best moment in decades,” the Spanish diplomat said.

Spain plans to invest around 45 billion euros in Morocco by 2050, , Pedro Sánchez, announced.

In 2030 Morocco will host the World Cup together with Spain, and Portugal. The World Cup will accelerate all projects related to infrastructure, and services either its existing, or future planned activity. I will mention a few projects that are planned!


- The length of motorways in our country will increase from 1,800 km to 3,000 km, almost doubling.

- The capacity of electricity production will be increased from 11,500 megawatts currently to 20,500 megawatts in 2030.

- Triple the high-speed train network that will reach 600 km of high-speed network. Connecting Tangier- Kenitra- rabat-casa-marrakech, agadir. ( 600km short term, and 1300 km long term).

- Doubling the number of trains in the country, as 150 express trains and 18 high-speed trains will be added. The Casablanca stadium will be connected to the airport with both TGV and express trains.

- Morocco is aiming to build the largest football stadium in the world exceeding 100,000 seats, as well as upgrading the stadiums in Tangier, Rabat, Marrakech, and Agadir. Tangier Stadium will have a capacity of around 90,000 spectators.

- The completion of seawater desalination plants will be accelerated, as it will The capacity is being doubled 6 times. We currently have a capacity of 200 million cubic meters, which we will increase to 1.3 billion cubic meters.


- Completion of the university hospitals of Agadir, Rabat, layounee, beni mellal, and errachidia.

- Raising the Royal Air Maroc fleet from 30 commercial aircraft to 150 for a cost of 25 billion USD.


- It will be the completed Expansion of 4 airports: Rabat, Casa, Tangiers and Agadir. We will double the capacity to receive passengers to 80 million passengers instead of 40 million currently, and of course with the improvement of services in terms of quality.


- Completion of the Dakhla, and Nador ports.

After the success of the Aerospace, and automotive industries in Morocco, the new aim is to enter the sectors of production related to trains including high-speed trains, buses, and commercial maritime construction.


The Minister of Transport announced a new program worth 1 billion USD for the award of 3500 buses to 32 cities. The focus is on assembly and local manufacturing of components.


Call for tenders to purchase 150 trains to serve for fast shuttle, and regional trains connecting major cities, as well as 18 high-speed trains. The cost of the project is 1.6 billion dollars which goes beyond the mere purchase of trains, as it's considered a real opportunity to establish an industrial system for the manufacturing of trains. The goal is to reach a 60 % location rate in the short term within the next 1-2 decades.


In his speech on the occasion of the forty-eighth anniversary of the victorious Green, King Mohammed VI stressed that it has become necessary to think about forming a strong naval and commercial fleet for the Kingdom, rehabilitating the Atlantic coasts, and continuing to establish a maritime economy. The roadmap is not clear yet, more information to come in the near future.
