I'm a nationalist. What i want in a leader is not to return to Turkey's old isolationist days, pursue our interests everywhere, be expansionist by all means. What i don't want to see is ruining Turkey's image with his big mouth. Don't anger allies in order to gain popularity inside Turkey. Always be diplomatic and speak like a professional. Don't be emotional, always choose Turkey's interests before anything else. Mansur Yavaş seems to be my kind of leader, he is very popular too.

astonishing welcoming ceremony for Mr Erdogan

for me , it will be a massive win for turkey foreign policy if they bring both Qatar and UAE together .

anyway , soon we might see defense industry cooperation specially after the middle finger that Israel gave it to UAE regarding that .
Duude, you really think it was Turkey who protected Qatar back then? Do you really think it's Turkey who made both sides leave their resentments aside and made them kiss and make up?

It was all the U.S. of A. . The U.S. was the main driving factor preventing the Gulfies to back down from the invasion, it was the U.S. of A. pushing both sides to make up again, and it was the tenseness of the remaining space that the US has left behind to pull back and focus on China.

The only other remaining main factors outside of the U.S. involment were;

1_) Both sides got exhausted from the economically and geopolitically costs of the war and rivalry.

2_) While not being able to be THE playmaker, Turkey proved that it can be quite an addle-plot.

3_) There was an emerging annoying 3rd threat

We can go on and on again for pages...

Now, the two countries are not allies, and not going to be for a long while, yet, they become aware of each other's differences and decided to respect one another instead of endless distruptive rivalry. But we can't kniw if that'll last for a while. Not yet. And the actions that Turkey has been taking lately don't show any plan or aspiration to be really integrated into this " M.Eastern team-block" that the U.S. has been trying to establish around Israel, instead, it seems like Turkey dorsn't have any master plan or roadmaps and is just trying to adopt to the upcoming regional balances and environment.

Just because he got greeted like this in UAE he is a world leader? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
You guys are just amazing. :ROFLMAO:
You know most world leaders have this "assertive vibe" or a "charisma" to them. (The word I'm looking for is not charisma but I actually don't know how to put what I meant by any other way) I can't blame some people for feeling this way.

But looking back at the past 20 years full of experiences, though he is a world leader at home, he is a paper tiger abroad. Like, in Turkey, he's an adult tiger but abroad he's like a newborn baby Tiger which can only squal.

I don't like the "ear-rapeness" of Dombra. Actually, when elections are around the corner, I get crazy and get inside as quickly as possible every time they play it on every f.cking propaganda busses or vehicles with huge ass speakers. Like, one time, I used to live in the downtown of my city and the propaganda busses would pass all day long by the avenue that was across my apartment. I remember once feeling the building, the ground literally shaking due to the sheer fucking amount of noise that they would make.

In Australia our elections have a dead atmosphere lmaoooo

No music just cringey ads 🤣

I cannot imagine how crazy a person can be if the same music plays everyday. Do they also play the music at the morning?

Duh, of course. I don't remember them playing it at nights, but I'm most certainly sure that they fucking did.

P.S., I just remembered it. Yeah, they most fuckingly did.

I'm not a person who swears much, actually; I try to stay away from swearing and I hate it and the people who swear a lot, but you can feel how much I hate it due to the number of times I used curse words

His leadership took a big dent in recent years, his incompetence came to light after all the big names behind his success left.

He's no world leader, he's mostly an incompetent corrupt dictator who robbed a nation and filled it with 10 million refugees and counting. In England no one Turkish perceives him as anything special, only two people a section of Pakistanis and rural minded Turks/Kurds. But i feel the Pakistani respect is more to do with the respect they had for Turkey anyway. While most Kurds like him because they perceive him as a friend of greater kurdistan ambitions and a man who hates Ataturk and Turkish nationalism. They don't really respect Turkey because of him.

Under Erdogan Turkeys reputation has never been this low. In england whenever Turkey gets brought up its always brought up with contempt. This rarely used to happen pre-erdogan days.

To get people to vote leave over her the media ran with Turkey horror stories that if UK remains in the EU, england will be flooded with Turks.

Remains or joins?

My mistake "if UK remains in the EU england will be flooded with Turks".

Basically Turkeys reputation within england sank so low under erdogan that Turks and Turkey is generally hated. So to get people to vote leave they used Turkey as the primer.

Basically under AK party Turks and Turkey are perceived as less then human here in the UK.

Now the major problem of destroying Turkeys international reputation is that when the greek cheats make a claim the outside world takes it as a truth and the defacto position from 3rd parties is always anti-Turkey. Or when the PKK talk against Turkey the world supports communists terrorists against Turkey because of how erdogan created the image of Turkey.

That's why i say things like changing the agia sophia into a mosque internationally only further convinced the world that Turkey is an islamist shitehole. A world leader doesn't put his nation constantly in the firing line.

The people that call him a world leader fall for cheap populist tricks but fail to see the bigger picture. Erdogan destroyed the image of Turkey so successfully that just seeing "TURKEY" creates a negative feeling in much of the world.

English are not like continental europeans, they will not be overt with it. But if you can get them to display their true feelings you would be shocked.

I was born in england and have lived here all my life and I'm too white for anyone here to ever suspect me of being anything other then european, so i would always be privy to certain conversations, that these people wouldn't say had they known I was Turkish.
