Nordic countries are even more f'ed then I thought.

They are the most unfriendly and most cold people I ever met in my life.

These nordic peoples have no interest for brown people outside if they can be used to cause trouble for other non-white nations. Its a shame the Kurds who have been fooled by western created marxism cannot wake up from their brainwashing.

calling that a victory would be an overstatement. Finns held their own because of the winter conditions they were in. When the summer rolled around they were promptly BTFO'd by the red army and had to give territory away in the peace treaty.
There wouldn't be a thing called "Finlandisation" if they've won in the 1st place, right?

Overrated while losing territory. I give them credit for fighting the Soviets and holding on their own while inflicting lots of casualties.

But a lot of it is overblown.

1975 it ended!! Its been 47 years damn!!!

Thats recent how crazy!!

I'm trying to find a video about Finish women who claim to have been coerced as far as up to the 2000's by the swedish state to sterilise themselves. But youtube these days seems to scrub the videos that are not good for politics.

You type "Sweden sterilising finish women" in youtube and all it wants to give me is unrelated news from mainstream media outlets.

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde:

“We ask for the support of all countries in NATO. The important countries of NATO are behind us. It would be in Turkey's interest to get along with us and those countries."

PS: This very snobbish words won’t work against Turks.

The arrogance is insane, also ends like she's making a threat towards Turkey. Sweden you are actively engaged in supporting extreme left wing Marxists terrorists against Turkey, it would be in your interest to get along with us. Just like it was in Ukraine's interest to get along with us.

These people are sick in the head.

But no doubts the USA, UK, FRANCE, GERMANY are behind them and telling them to ignore Turkish concerns, keep supporting a terrorist organisation against them. Meanwhile most nations stayed silent and a few i guess like Poland would have probably told Sweden just stop supporting the terrorists.

But she also insulted every nation within NATO as unimportant who can see Turkeys concerns.

That's the kind of people we are meant to defend in a war against Russia? Hate to say it but Russia declared war on Sweden tomorrow i hope Turkey sends Russia advanced drones to use. We know Sweden would never defend us in a million years, so i wouldnt want Turkey to defend them either.

Its a shame we saved their king from Russia in the past. Lets not do that again. Last time Sweden got her arse handed to her by the Russians it was the Ottomans who came to the rescue.

So what?
So should Turkey accept Sweden and Finland into NATO just to precent being singled out? Do you know what will happen if pro-pkk countries like SWEDEN and Finland were to join? Turkey will literally be the only country within NATO to oppose PKK while the PKK will have at least 3 countries in support of PKK; This is a fqing catastrophe! Turkey is already suffering from Greece supporting PKK and it has shitty economy and military; just imagine Finland and Sweden with their more advanced and stable militaries further supporting the PKK

This is why I support Erdogan; he is certainly corrupt but still the best of the Worst; even in such conditions, he is trying to get concessions from such countries regarding the PKK. Let the West call him a dictator or whatever but at the end Erdo will still hunt the PKK. When Erdo did everything the West ordered pre-2015, PKK used to strike Istanbul with bombs. Just how many civilians died while sucking the western dick? Now the rate of casualities post 2016 dropped so hard and Turkey's nationalisation of weapons is progressing

Let them call erdogan a bad guy and how he shouldnt mess with the shitty iron ladies of sweden and finland but they know that Turkey can just screw them iver with a veto and time is ticking

With Russia advancing in Ukraine, the moment Putin gets a phyrric victory in ukraine, Finland and Sweden will be next since now Putin recognises them as a potential enemy. Finland and Sweden should realise that the moment Russia enters their countries, their prospects of entering NATO and ensuring oeace within their lands are ZERO!
I have pointed out a dirty manouver that the US have used time and time again to resolve thorny issues. Erdogan may be all you say, but diplomacy is not his forte. And he definitely needs a buffer in this confrontation.

He needs shrewd, controversial advisors to avoid traps, not the kind of people to pat him on the shoulder and say “You are doing great!”. Turkey’s past two decades carry scars of a set of bad advice, especially on international grounds, from Israel to Egypt, on to Syria, etc…

As @Anastasius pointed out, raising concerns and opposition even before a table is set, is on the red “not-to-do“ list of international negotiations. And when you are dealing with the US, you do not want to use any accusations, nor opposing arguments (a great person once told me, not even use the word “no!”) in pre-session, because you have already lost. Erdogan could use a set of wise diplomats to hold the line!

Despite your raves, chances are we may get far less than what we aim for (or deserve), as there is no sign of a change on where (and how) we stand! The Turk inside of me, is with you…

EDIT: Finally some words that makes sense. From @Hexciter ‘s post; (Scoop: Turkey “is not closing the door” to Sweden and Finland joining #NATO, despite Erdogan’s comments.)

Erdogan first statement on the issue should have been, "we are happy to welcome sweden and finland into the NATO family and as part of an obligation to defend them we would require them to drop their support for the PKK terrorists.

That way with your words you place the ball in their court.

But i don't think it will matter, the Turkish veto is worthless just like i don't believe article 5 would be enacted to protect Turkey.

For Turkey its bad to be in NATO but its worse to be outside of it. If we didn't sit in critical geography NATO would have been set up against us in the same way its been set up against Russia.

With the odd exception of the Greek Communist Party, lefties are usually decidedly not based.

I cannot verify for sure but apparently when Sweden was having elections for PM some time ago, it was decided by one vote of a Kurdish-origin politician who said she would support Magdalena Andersson of the Swedish Social Democrats...if they would provide support to the YPG after taking power. Now take this with a grain of salt since I only read it from a random account on social media but it does seem curious. I need to go back and look up what the Kurdish politician's name was.

EDIT: Her name was Amineh Kakabaveh. Also corrected Finland to Sweden.

Why is NATO allowing to join these countries anyways, especially considering that this could have severe consequences and a big possibility that the shit might hit the fan.

NATO is a organisation that should protect it's members.

Not a organisation to put it's member's under danger for two countries which haven't done anything for the organisation for the last 70 year's.

Who the hell are they thinking they are threatening
Turkey is the onky one which is actively fighting against Russian expansionism while the countries criticisng it like France and Germany are actually aiding Russia's expansionism
Turkey was already isolated long ago; in fact, Westerners never even thought of it as allies and this became even worse after the rise in Turkish defence industry

I think Erdogan should just veto the addition of Finland and Sweden along with opening the bosphorous so that Russia can swallow Ukraine and start knocking on EU's doorsteps; by then, they will be kissing Turkey's feet to aid them!
Lets even support Haftar with Russia and let western dominance in all of Africa get screwed. In fact, even Haftar recently, has been trying to make friends with Turkey and Erdogan even promising not to cancel the EEZ agreement since it is in favour of Libya

This may sound controversial (and maybe a little too early at this stage), I have a gut feeling that the US, nor the geriatric folks of Europe, are too keen to accept Sweden and Finland into the alliance.

Nato is trying to avoid any direct clash (as stated by Biden and others several times) with Russia. So why inviting Swedes and the Fins, and keep the doors wide-open for the evil. Accepting these two into Nato will mean you are sharing a border with Russia, and a spark at the border can easily yield into an all out war.

I have doubts, that the outcome of this recent Nato meeting is yet another bluff under a show of solidarity, an act of deceit to further push Russian administration into a corner.

Article 5 did not work for us, when we downed the Russian jet. So the burning question is whether or not Nato wants to step into a minefield in the North and accept the consequences. I do not see any European country, nor the US willing to fight for Turkey. What proof is there they will accept the fight in the North?

EDIT: US strategy under “Nato‘s expansion is not all about recruiting new members, but providing financial and military aid to Russia’s neighbors to create a sturdier buffer zone. Just like the Ukraine!
