It seems that the govt had the same criticisms about the deal as well; it seems that Erdo is trying to please the US, put pressure on Russia, while still holding the final decision of ratifying their admission into NATO by the parliament. He will lose either way since Iam 100% sure the US has cards in its disposale to force Turkey to submit

This is why relations with Russia must not be severed (as in the past) since it will be an indication that any severe attack from the US may force Turkey to Russia and vice versa
And this is what makes Turkey look weak to Russia at times as well; Putin knows that Turkey needs Russia as a front against US and coupling it with the fact that Turkey still doesnt have oil independence, relies on hot money for its economy to function normally, relies on tourism, and have no potent domestic jets or ADS yet, Turkey is always a bit short when confronting both of these assholes

YPG and Gulen movements will NEVER be regarded as terrorists no matter what Turkey wants since the US desires for them to not be regarded as terrorists. Turkey isnt as strong as many in this forum think tbh and cant change many things within Europe; however, while Turkey cant force the West to regard the YPG as terrorists, they can at least force them away from the borders (something which the US have been effectively trying to hinder, hell! YPG even formed an alliance with Russia to counteract Turkey and the US didnt even say NO FFS!)
With the current world dynamic shifting, prices soaring, and a possible WW3 on the horizon, the role of Turkey as a TOP-class canoon fodder and a barrier against Russia to protect the Western utopia became even more needed..... Period! Thus, the US will ensure that any factor that weaken Turkey rn is preserved and any faction that may rule in the future..... such as GULEN..... is preserved. IMO, I believe that the US probably thinks that letting Erdo rule anymore is a mistake and that in the future, only a military personnel or a hardcore Western fanatic with no religious, no patriotic, no right-wing affliation background, and preferable a radical liberal should rule Turkey
Trust me when I say this, but soon enough, Gulen will come back to Turkey but under a different name; just like when they changed the PKK into YPG and called it a different organisation

Now this one is big. Secretary of NATO mentions FETO Terrorism but again no YPG. YPG and FETO should be mentioned in official NATO documents as terrorism threats. We should aim for that. If it happens that will be a big gain.

UK‘s foreign policy does not change with leaders. Nor will it drastically change with different parties. It was Theresa May, a rival to Boris Johnson within Conservative party, that started the ball rolling, with her signature on defence and trade cooperation. Boris carried on with the same. It is in UK’s benefit to be close to Turkey. So who ever is chosen will not really matter on issues related to Turkey.

The only reason they would cancel the co-op is due to Western (EU/US) pressure and this will remain since if the TFX came to fruition then greek's security will be compromised forever
No one wanted to give Turkey such tech even the Koreans themselves refused; this is an indication that the notion of giving an advanced weaponry to a "turk" is prohibited regardless of who rules Turkey whether liberals or fake nationalists

The fact is that the current government of Turkey is used as a scapegoat by anti-Turkish lobbies. Unfortunately little has been done to combat this.
It's easy to paint a party which has been in control for 20 years in a bad light, even without all the corruption being put into consideration. If a new leader/party is elected, anti-Turkey lobbies will be scratching their heads on how to paint Turkey as being "undemocratic". They will lose a lot of power overnight.
However, they are already preparing for this. For example, they are trying to demonise Ümit Özdağ.
Whenever leadership changes, it offers an opportunity to reset relations. A recent example of this is Israel.
