It is a loss for us YPG and Gulen movement is not designated as terrorist organizations. Anything short of that is unacceptable. SDF is not even mentioned. As expected, the western press is selling this shit as a victory of Turkiye.
YPG and Gulen movements will NEVER be regarded as terrorists no matter what Turkey wants since the US desires for them to not be regarded as terrorists. Turkey isnt as strong as many in this forum think tbh and cant change many things within Europe; however, while Turkey cant force the West to regard the YPG as terrorists, they can at least force them away from the borders (something which the US have been effectively trying to hinder, hell! YPG even formed an alliance with Russia to counteract Turkey and the US didnt even say NO FFS!)
With the current world dynamic shifting, prices soaring, and a possible WW3 on the horizon, the role of Turkey as a TOP-class canoon fodder and a barrier against Russia to protect the Western utopia became even more needed..... Period! Thus, the US will ensure that any factor that weaken Turkey rn is preserved and any faction that may rule in the future..... such as GULEN..... is preserved. IMO, I believe that the US probably thinks that letting Erdo rule anymore is a mistake and that in the future, only a military personnel or a hardcore Western fanatic with no religious, no patriotic, no right-wing affliation background, and preferable a radical liberal should rule Turkey
Trust me when I say this, but soon enough, Gulen will come back to Turkey but under a different name; just like when they changed the PKK into YPG and called it a different organisation
