I dont see China sucking up to Europe or the EU. They are forging their own destiny.
What choice we have?
Middle East also sucks up to Europeans and west,.
China, Japan, Korea all do too in many ways.
And sanctions always makes us innovate and work harder and invest locally more. I see this as a good thing.
It won't stop Mavi Vatan at all long term. They're just postering.

That was a route full of tears and blood, I hope nobody need to do this anymore.
By the way, the situation in Turkey is not so bad like China in last century.

Ataturk modernised and industrialised the country albeit slowly without the need for Europe.

Im all for cooperation and trade with Europe. But its stupid how the country has to be transformed to get into the EU.

EU is telling Turkiye to withdraw from Cyprus and recognise the Armenian genocide. Its just hoops upon hoops. This was before Erdogan came to power. Erdogan was willing to give EU everything they want just so they can get into the EU.

Israel doesn't give a shit about Arab dictators lol, especially after the fall of Assad, Ba'athism is long dead, plus it was never built on solid ground. But Israel still preferred to get rid of Assad as he was aligned with Iran and Russia, and ultimately the new Syrian leader is US puppet, I'm tired of people suggesting otherwise.
There is nothing Israel cares more than who rules the surrounding countries. They prefer corrupt dictators without popular support and corrupt militaries that are used to oppress their people rather than fighting Israel. That's why, Israel never preferred getting rid of Assad totally. Their reaction right after the success of the revolution shows that. They wanted a divided Syria that is fighting against each other. Today's Syria is a catastrophe for Israel and they are very clear about that. I lost count how many news, articles, podcasts from Israel I followed on this issue.

A recent one talking about how the "islamists terrorists" of Syria backed by Türkiye is an existensial threat to Israel:
https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-899435

If tomorrow Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations truly worked together and were a threat, suddenly you'd see Islamist uprisings in all these countries.
Why? Makes no sense to me. That's what all the "islamist" desire. Why would they uprise?

The fact is that Arab nations are utterly incompetent, they don't pose a real threat. It doesn't necessarily matter if they're Islamist or not. Sisi is preferred as he plays well with the US/Israel and thus allows for western controlled trade through the Suez Canal.

Iran and Türkiye on the other hand are two major non-Arab states that completely threaten the order set up in the middle east.

Arab nationalism means nothing, thus can't pose a real threat. Persian and Turkish nationalism poses a real threat. They're two unique cultures sitting on the edge of the middle east that can exert pressure across the whole region.
Arab nations are incompetent for several reasons but the biggest reason is that Israel can't afford a competent Arab nation that is sovereign.

The western support for Islamists is clear as day and the 2 biggest targets all along have been Iran and Türkiye. Sick and tired of people pretending otherwise.
The western support for nationalists, secularists, leftists etc. is clear as day too. Do you want me to pour here dozens of documents proving CIA/Gladio's connection with Turkish nationalism? I would gladly do that.

My point is, big powers don't invest only on one card. They connect&support many factions. It doesn't make sense to act like it is only the "islamists".

Would you care answering why Israel, USA and UAE declared Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization if they love Islamists so much? And why did they overthrow Morsi?

Just because Zionists demonize something, like Islamist groups, doesn't mean they actually find it undesirable or un-preferable. It is a very common tactic to create the conditions to justify your own intervention. You can observe this throughout imperial/hegemonic histories.

Simply put, they know that this faith is something that galvanizes and deeply affects the psychology of regions and populations in their crosshairs, so they try to twist it to their benefit. And that is where you get Salafism / Wahhabism, Muslim Brotherhood, even Islamic Revolution to some text.

Free Masons and Zionists, do not assault you only directly and openly, they prefer to engineer a theatre and narrative through covert and infiltrative means which favors their long-term agenda.

Thing is, the major powers wanted a balance in the region. and still do. They do this every region.
A growing Turkiye is not in their interest.
I agree with everything you said, but I don't see much choices we had. Its not like we could replace Europe with MENA or Asia. both also in bed with EU/West.
Its a lot different now though. But , still. It's not in their interest to have this Blue Homeland, but there will come a point they will just accept it and move on.

This is why Islamist nations are never doing well. So easily to manipulate by atheist elites.

Mr. Erdogan, what did the Young Turks do in Beirut and Damascus?

The neo-Ottomanism of our neighbors idealizes the Ottoman Empire, which oppressed and murdered peoples and ethnicities. In a recent speech, Turkish President Erdogan emphasized: “Damascus and Beirut are the two sister cities of Istanbul. Turkey’s security does not only start in Hatay. It starts in Aleppo, in Damascus. Turkey’s security starts in Beirut.”

The Turkish leader distorts the historical truth and presents it as it suits him. However, the study of the historical past reminds us that from the beginning of the 16th century until 1918, the present-day territories of Syria, Lebanon and other neighboring regions with an Arab population were enslaved by the Ottoman Empire. The French historian Maxime Rodinson in his book “The Arabs” observes that in Arab historiography the Ottoman period is recorded as the decline of Arab civilization.

On May 6, 1916, the bloodthirsty Young Turk (Committee of Union and Progress) and massacrer of Armenians Cemal Pasha, as governor of the Ottoman province of Syria, ordered the hanging of the leaders of the Arab national movement (Christian and Muslim) in the Merciej Square in Damascus and the Bourj Square in Beirut. Today, both squares are called Martyrs' Squares. A total of 34 leaders of the Arab uprising against the Turks were executed by Cemal. The memory of the martyrs is honored with ceremonies on May 6 every year.

It was the last act of the Ottoman Empire in the region, shortly before its final collapse. The Turkish Republic, which was officially founded on October 29, 1923, is the result of the defeat of the Ottomans on various fronts (Balkans, Middle East, etc.) from 1912 to 1918. Erdogan's ideology from the first moment of his election - first as prime minister and then as president - aims to regain cultural, economic and military influence in a large part of the territories of the former Ottoman Empire. In 2009, he visited Sarajevo, Bosnia and reminded the residents that the name is an Ottoman legacy and means: the Saray - palace of Bosnia.

Erdogan also spoke about Aleppo. And he gives us the opportunity to remind him that the Orthodox Christians of Syria call the corresponding metropolis of the Patriarchate of Antioch with the title: Metropolis of Veria and Aleppo. The Arabic-speaking Orthodox (Roman Orthodox) want to honor the passage of Alexander the Great and the founding of Greek cities (e.g. Veria) by his successors. The historical truth, therefore, is unpleasant for Mr. Erdogan. Alexander and the Hellenistic civilization left positive memories in the region. The Ottomans and the Young Turks remained in the memory of the peoples of the Middle East as conquerors. Our timeless history and our civilization are timely foreign policy signposts.

How exactly is Hellenistic civilization remembered "positively" by Arabs when one of the defining moments of Arabs asserting themselves and creating empires is when they kicked the shit out of the Byzantines and forced them out of basically the entire Middle-East and laid siege to Constantinople THREE times? Alexander of Macedon isn't even a footnote in Arab history and is remembered as just another conqueror. And if we're going to portray Hellenism as some kind of positive force by citing Orthodox Christians in the Middle-East, I would like to point out that a fair amount of Muslims in the region also remember the Ottomans positively - not really something you can deny by citing Ottomans executing Arab collaborators with the Triple Entente in 1916 AKA in the middle of the First World War.

I agree that the Young Turks Mark the worst chapter of Turkish history in centuries.

But: Alexander the Great? Huh? Aleppo has bigger problems than Orthodox Christians wanting to honor the passages of a *checks notes* non Christian.
To the author: Take your meds, schizo.

You can apply this theory to anything when it fits your argument. Just call it a tactic and move on.

So, to prove your theory you should support it with solid examples.

In which case Israel desired Islamists to be in power and how did they benefit from it? (Except allowing Hamas to rule Gaza to cause friction among the Palestinians)

It is a very common tactic to create the conditions to justify your own intervention.
So, Israel feels obliged to intervene when Islamists take power in a relevant country. That's why they overthrew Muslim Bortherhood in Egypt. That's exactly my point.

Imagine having MB in power now. They wouldn't be able to commit this genocide in Gaza without going to war with Egypt. Simple as that.

Israel 'will be at war with Syria sooner or later', says Likud minister

Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli outlined a 'radical Sunni axis of evil' made up of Pakistan, Turkey and Qatar

An Israeli minister from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party said this week that Israel “will be at war with Syria sooner or later”.

The remarks came in a series of radio interviews given by Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli on Wednesday and Thursday, in which he outlined what he dubbed a "radical Sunni axis of evil" in the Middle East.

“There is no way that a jihadist regime rooted in Isis and al-Qaeda, whose aspiration is the unification of Jerusalem, can live in peace alongside the State of Israel,” the far-right minister said, referring to Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government.

Speaking to Israel’s Army Radio on Thursday, Chikli outlined what he considers to be a new anti-Israel alliance made up of Pakistan, Turkey and Qatar, which he said worried him far more than Iran and its ceasefire deal with the US.

While the Likud minister acknowledged that Iran had scored some major achievements with the US agreement, he said that “what is far more troubling is the new axis emerging in the Middle East”.

The Israeli minister suggested that Pakistan and Turkey were part of this axis after playing a major role in negotiations between the US and Iran.

In another interview on Thursday with Kol Barama radio, Chikli explained his view of Qatar’s role in his emerging axis, saying that the Gulf country is “the PR arm of the jihadists”.

'Sunni axis of evil'

Chikli is fostering ties with right-wing politicians and governments around the globe.

This week he jumped to the defence of far-right British agitator Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. Referring to UK police stopping Robinson and seizing his phones as he returned to the country from Russia, Chikli said that “one of Britain’s clearest voices against real Islamic terrorism is now being hunted under anti-terrorism laws. At this rate Britain will become the second Islamic Republic in Europe.”

During his Kol Barama radio interview, the Israeli minister said that Pakistan and Turkey are “enemies” of India, Greece and Cyprus, which are close allies of Israel.

“What we are witnessing before our eyes is the rise of a new axis,” Chikli told 103FM radio on Wednesday, referring to Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan. He described this so-called alliance as “a radical Sunni axis of evil, more dangerous than anything we have seen before”.

While Chikli mentioned both Qatar and Pakistan in his interviews, he mainly focused on Turkey, branding Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's vision “an extremely dangerous combination for us”.

Turkey, Chikli said, had essentially established ”a Turkish protectorate“ in Syria. "Turkey and Syria are ten thousand times more concerning than Iran," he said.

The Likud minister’s comments come at a time of growing tension between Turkey and Israel, with Erdogan saying recently that Israel's attacks in Syria and Lebanon pose a threat to his country.

”Israel must be stopped, this is the duty of humanity,“ the Turkish leader said earlier this month, while Turkey's Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci spoke recently about the ”liberation“ of Jerusalem.

Chikli is far from the first Israeli politician to tout a threat from Turkey. Last week, Israeli lawmaker Ariel Kellner, also of Likud, called Turkey an "enemy state", while Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar said last month that Israel "must begin to treat Turkey as an enemy state," suggesting that Turkey would suffer heavy blows in a possible conflict with Israel.

In February, former prime minister Naftali Bennett indicated that he sees Turkey as an enemy, with the opposition figure stating: "Turkey is the new Iran."

On Thursday, when Chikli was asked whether, after two and a half years of wars, Israelis could expect a period of calm, he said he hoped so, but not for long.

Turkey, according to Chikli, ”has very clear ambitions” and is compromising Israel interests. He said, though, that Israel has “no ambition to conquer Ankara”, and that he “would be very happy if there is no war with Syria and Turkey”.

Reflecting on a lesson he had learned from the Hamas-led attack of 7 October 2023, Chikli said: “When the enemy says something, I listen.”
