Forum Announcement Forum maintenance: Possible planned outage and rollback

Hi All,

Unfortunately a member of our team accidently permanently deleted one of the most loved threads on the forum, which had over 10,000 posts and documented an entire war in 2020. This was discovered only when we were restructuring the live conflict section, where the thread was completely missing. Fortunately it was discovered that the thread was only deleted a week ago.

As it's nearly impossible to only restore that thread, we're making a difficult decision between rolling back the entire forum to pre 21st July or just letting the thread go. If we choose the former, it will mean any posts made after the 21st will be wiped.

We can understand the frustration of either choice, and will make sure this will never happen again.
