GDIT Awarded $383 Million U.S. Navy Training Support Services Contract​


FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today that it was awarded a $383 million training support services contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Virginia. The contract, awarded on behalf of Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), has a one-year base period and four option years.

SCSTC provides the Navy and its allies with highly trained warfighters to maintain, operate, and tactically employ surface combat systems across the spectrum of operations. Over the life of the contract, GDIT will train more than 100,000 U.S. and allied sailors in classroom and simulation settings ashore and aboard Navy warships around the globe. Specifically, the company will provide instructor support, curriculum development, training aids and program management services.

“For over 30 years, we have supported a wide range of Navy training activities,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for Defense. “We are looking forward to continuing to provide the Navy with modern training services to strengthen its overall fleet operations and warfighting readiness.”

The contract expands the company’s training support services portfolio across the Department of Defense. In April, GDIT was awarded a $1.7 billion Flight School Training Support Services contract to support the U.S. Army. The company’s experience with delivering modern training environments spans live, virtual and constructive solutions and multi-domain operations training.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – General Dynamics Land Systems announced today that it has been awarded a $712.3 million order by the U.S. Army for 300 Stryker DVHA1 vehicles.This latest order comes under a five-year contract signed in 2020 that includes an option for a sixth year.The Army is pursuing enhanced survivability and capability in its Stryker brigades with the technologically advanced DVHA1s.


“The Stryker A1 features a 450-horsepower engine, 60,000-pound suspension, 910-amp alternator and in-vehicle digital network while continuing to provide unprecedented soldier survivability,” said Gordon Stein, vice president of U.S. operations at General Dynamics Land Systems.


“Stryker is the Army’s largest combat vehicle fleet – combat-proven, cost-effective, highly mobile, versatile, sustainable and transportable,” said Stein. “We are proud that our innovation, research, development and investment have evolved the Stryker into a next-generation platform for Stryker Brigade Combat Team formations and beyond.”

General Dynamics Land Systems awarded $769 million to advance to next phase of OMFV competition



STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Army to advance to the detailed design and prototype build and test phases of the XM30 Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle competition.


Formerly known as the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV), the XM30 is the Army’s next generation infantry fighting vehicle developmental program that will replace the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The U.S. Army Contracting Command awarded General Dynamics Land Systems $768.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for Phase III and IV detailed design and prototype build and testing.

General Dynamics Land Systems Awarded $258 Million by U.S. Army for 26 Additional M10 Booker Combat Vehicles



STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – General Dynamics Land Systems announced today that it was awarded a $257.6 million U.S. Army contract modification for the second phase of Low Rate Initial Production of the newly named M10 Booker Combat Vehicle, formerly known as Mobile Protected Firepower.This latest award calls up 26 additional Booker vehicles.

Designed by General Dynamics Land Systems, the highly lethal, survivable and mobile direct-fire combat vehicle melds recently developed and battle-tested designs to dominate ground threats on the multi-domain battlefield. The Booker employs a four-person crew and features an enhanced thermal viewer, a large-caliber cannon, a lightweight hull and turret, and a modern diesel engine, transmission and suspension system. It has been designed from the start for capability upgrades, based on future operational needs.

GDIT Wins All Initial Task Orders on $4.5 Billion Department of the Air Force Security Support Services IDIQ Contract

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today that it swept all initial task orders on the $4.5 billion Department of the Air Force Security Support Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The value of these task orders cannot be disclosed due to program sensitivities.


The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery-indefinite quantity contract, initially awarded in February 2021, includes a five-year base period and a five-year option. Following multiple protests by a competitor, the Air Force notified GDIT in August 2023 that all protests were resolved.


Under the contract, which is expected to start on Nov. 15, GDIT will implement comprehensive security services including information, personnel and communications security as well as counterintelligence analysis and cybersecurity assessments.


“Protecting our operational and technological advantages from adversaries is critical to our national security,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for the defense division. “We are committed to this critical Air Force mission and have been planning for the program’s success during this time. We look forward to executing on these task orders.”

GROTON, Conn. - GD Electric Boat, a business unit of General Dynamics, announced today it was awarded a $517.2 million delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for procurement and delivery of initial Virginia-class attack submarine spare parts to support maintenance availabilities. Work will be performed in Groton and Pawcatuck, Connecticut.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Awarded $218 Million to Expand Artillery Production


ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) announced today it was awarded a $218 million initial task order for 155mm M1128 Load, Assemble, and Pack (LAP). The task order, awarded under a $974 million multiyear firm-fixed-price U.S. Army contract, awarded to OTS and another company, includes funding for M1128 facilitization and production at OTS’s operations in Camden, Arkansas. M1128 new generation projectiles are part of the U.S. Army’s effort to modernize and expand 155mm artillery production.

OTS was awarded a similar contract in February 2023 for M795 LAP facilitization of 20,000 rounds per month. Combined together, the two awards support 50,000 rounds per month of new LAP capacity by 2025. GD-OTS will also expand industrial capacity to produce the vital base bleed assemblies for the projectile.


This contract will fund the installation of a LAP facility using modernized processes and the latest generation air-cooling techniques. The air-cooling technology has been demonstrated to improve the quality and efficiency of the 155mm artillery LAP process, while leveraging more environmentally responsible methods to reduce hazardous waste.

GROTON, Conn. – General Dynamics Electric Boat, a business unit of General Dynamics, announced today it has been awarded a $967 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy for Lead Yard Support and Development and Design efforts for Virginia-class fast-attack submarines.

The cost-plus-fixed fee modification to a previously awarded contract totals $967,185,528. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut; McLeansville, North Carolina; Newport News, Virginia; and Newport and Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Work is expected to be completed by October 2024. This contract was awarded on September 29. 2023.


“This contract award supports critical work to further advance the capability and superiority of the Virginia class submarine,” said Kevin Graney, president of General Dynamics Electric Boat. “We are proud to continue our tradition of delivering this state-of the-art platform that ensures the safety of our sailors and their continued dominance in the undersea domain.”


Virginia-class submarines are designed for the full range of 21st-century mission requirements, including anti-submarine and surface ship warfare and special operations support.

General Dynamics NASSCO awarded ship repair contract valued at up to $754 million


SAN DIEGO – General Dynamics NASSCO, a subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), announced today it was awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy for the maintenance, modernization and repair of USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) and USS James E. Williams (DDG 95). The contract for an initial $15.6 million includes options that, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $753.8 million.


“NASSCO and our industry partners are looking forward to executing a pair of successful availabilities and are thankful the Navy has sole-sourced the contract to us to lead this effort,” said Dave Baker, vice president of Repair for General Dynamics NASSCO. “Much like our recent success with the modernization on USS Pinckney, our repair team is ready to tackle another opportunity with our Navy partners and get these ships back to the fleet in a timely manner.”


Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and San Diego, California. If all options are exercised, work will continue through November 2030.

General Dynamics Electric Boat Awarded $217 Million Contract for Virginia-Class Submarines



Groton, Conn. – Electric Boat, a business unit of General Dynamics, announced today it was awarded a $217 million contract for long lead time material associated with the construction of Virginia-class submarines SSN 814 and SSN 815.


“This contract will enable Electric Boat to begin the acquisition of critical material and components for submarines that require substantial lead time to manufacture and deliver,” said Kevin Graney, president of General Dynamics Electric Boat. “Advanced procurement is essential to achieve the high-rate production the Navy requires of the submarine industrial base. A consistent demand signal is necessary for our suppliers to invest in and grow their operations.”

General Dynamics Electric Boat is the prime contractor and lead design yard for the Virginia class and constructs the ships in a teaming arrangement with HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia.

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada Awarded four Land C4ISR Contracts for the Canadian Army valued at up to CA$1.7 Billion



OTTAWA, Canada – General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada announced today that it was awarded four contracts cumulatively valued at up to CA$1.68 billion (US$1.3 billion) by the Government of Canada to support the Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system for the Canadian Army.


The four contracts for the Land Command Support System (LCSS) are: System of Systems Engineering & Integration; Core Network Sustainment Services; Applications Sustainment Services; and Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR).

General Dynamics European Land Systems - Steyr awarded $1.3 billion contract to build 225 PANDUR EVO wheeled armored vehicles for Austria


VIENNA, Austria -- General Dynamics European Land Systems - Steyr (GDELS) announced that it has been awarded a contract to deliver an additional 225 PANDUR 6x6 EVO wheeled armored vehicles to the Austrian Armed Forces. The contract has an initial value of 1.2 billion euros (U.S. $1.3 billion).

GDELS already has 100 PANDUR EVO vehicles under contract, with the third batch currently in production and delivery. In addition to the delivery of state-of-the-art personnel carriers and flexible conversion kits for medical, and command & control missions, the order includes eight new vehicle variants, including vehicles equipped with a 120 mm mortar combat system, as well as mobile air defense and electronic warfare variants.


“Today’s procurement decision marks an extraordinary milestone in the history of our PANDUR and underlines the globally unique performance and multi-role capability of this wheeled armored vehicle family,” said GDELS President Antonio Bueno. “Since the very beginning, Austria has been one of GDELS’ home countries. The compact, high-performance PANDUR EVO 6x6 is built at GDELS’ Steyr facility in Vienna Simmering, the national center of excellence for wheeled and tracked protected military mobility. Preceding versions of the PANDUR EVO have been in service with the Austrian Armed Forces since 1996. Around 850 PANDUR in 6x6 and 8x8 configurations are fielded worldwide today. Other users include Belgium, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Kuwait, Portugal, Slovenia, and the U.S.
