Happy New Year to you, your family and everybody else. That includes friend, foe and everybody else inbetween. 2020 has not been a good year but let's all hope 2021 is differant.

I just came home and on the way I had to fuel up. As I got out of the car I noticed a huddled up person on the side of the fuel station. As I cam out after paying a very sickly looking lady [about 30] came to me and began begging. I never have any change and told her "sorry I don't have change". To which she replied "It's freezing, mister have some heart". As I walked away I hear her say "Have a happy New Year".

As I drove off that thought began to gnaw away at me. Few miles down I just could not go any further and pulled next to a ATM. Cashed £20 and went back. After having given the money I was lighter by £20 but happy. It's minus 1 here with frozen ice and snow. But for all that I felt warm.

Ultimately we are human beings. That is whar makes us civilized species. The ability to care, to show empathy and most importantly think of those who are less fortunate than us.

With that thought I wish you all the best - where ever you are. I will be with family who are goiing to have mini firework party at 12:00 so see you guys till then.

I have told people there is a regular side a lot of them don't know to Kaptaan, that I know. They all assume you are solely the online persona/facade etc. I hope you share more of your regular side with us so more can see it.
