President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev: “Today, after a friendly farewell to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi, we were seriously concerned by the news that a helicopter carrying a high-ranking delegation made an emergency landing in Iran.
We pray to Allah Almighty for President Ibrahim Raisi and the delegation accompanying him. As a neighboring, friendly and brotherly country, the Republic of Azerbaijan is ready to provide all possible support."
“We are deeply concerned by the reported crash of a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other officials,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement on page X.
“We hope and pray for their safety and protection as first responders attempt to reach the scene.
Azerbaijan, as a friendly and brotherly people, is ready to provide all necessary support,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Let's not forget that incident in Turkey a few years back when an avalanche killed more than 30 rescuers. Let's not make fun of such things when we have seen even worse in our own house.

Conflicting reports, nothing is certain right now. The terrain in the area and the weather are really bad. If I should take the word for an established contact with people from the helicopter I don't think they are dead, but if they don't find them soon they are not going to survive for very long.

Based on the request made by the Iranian authorities through our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an Akıncı UAV and a night vision capable Cougar type helicopter were assigned to participate in the search and rescue activities of the crashed helicopter of the President of Iran and his delegation.
If we find them, we should tell them that we searched there but we found nothing...
