I have come across this paper before.

As to why every ~ 12 years and specifically those years (that seem to have stumped Guptaji).....its because thats the chinese zodiac year of a certain specific animal.

No real guesswork for which that is (that PRC identifies itself with)...

This is actually a common thing in lot of stuff they do w.r.t releases for symbolism (the paper itself is generally summary of preceding years etc)

I might come back to this thread a bit later to give some views on it....depending what others say.

Yeah this is interesting w.r.t Russia. Will have to see what exactly surfaces here this year and going forward....and how Biden admin "reset" may play into it too on some issues. I always sensed something wasn't quite right...Russia also deep down is fairly weary of PRC designs....even soviet leaders were extremely concerned with the population differential between Siberia and China.

Anyway, NGL, I enjoyed seeing some characters squirm and trying to dismiss "TASS".
