Even recently the Hongkong Protests handling, shows how CCP handles the protests for basic democratic rights .

They are hammer in search of nail, and they will find or manufacture that nail for sake of being the hammer. HK is and was easy necessary one in this endeavour (even at expense of Taiwan wising up quickly even more from it).

Most people just don't realise firsthand or have firsthand experience of CCP meathead supremacist approach to know what drives this...and where it comes from...and how and why it has been emboldened in last cpl decades.....much less understanding and dealing with it (past auto-reactionary way to some change CCP executes).

So things are just judged in context/familiarity most people have inside their own country....and that is faulty at best. But world slowly wising up, that is phase 1, it was delayed, but its here now.

Not every opinion is credible however, and that is for others to point out (in here or out there wherever its more important).

Like does X person zoning in on one country (out of whatever preset level of personal animus) w.r.t "freespeech gagging" do the same (at same level) for the actual source-country of the contagion?

....one that:

A) Sat on the crucial (transmission + effect) information regarding this contagion for at least 1 month, possibly lot longer.

This gets at the final root culpability for 95% deaths that happened globally given the correlation downstream to initial dosage received by each country from this source country during that critical time.



B) Locked down the supposed source-city, while allowing free international travel/spread from its country at same time

This speaks further more to point A.



C) Has same monolith govt structure from era it essentially murdered at least 30 million of its own citizens (and possibly up to 60 million)....i.e around 5 - 10 holocausts internally....in space of 2 -3 years. This is even justified to this day by same monolith.

This speaks to the credibility of what actual total-systematic gag (all media organs are state controlled) looks like regarding its situation....i.e what is the true situation there given the blatant precedence?




D) Has completely banned such SM like twitter and facebook to begin with

Is the attention/agenda commensurate and correlated appropriately? If not, illustrate why not.

I could go on at some length, but hope you get the idea.

You see every other situation in world is some (mostly small) % level of this one w.r.t credibility and final truth.

Even Pakistan/BD/whichever other country that has far lower testing rate (compared to India) and far more media control/suppression on the matter (leading historically to why at root-level Pakistan and BD are two separate countries right now as you well know).

So if someone gets too engrossed in personal beef/animus with a country....it should be easy to point out why to anyone that matters. ...rather than just call for such person to be squelched.

I have done this (Aikido/Judo) with about dozen or so more here in just this forum and plenty more outside it w.r.t similar spam from certain source-country member in this forum.

i.e Use their time and effort to prove a point better among folks with intellectual girth....where such argument-importance and useful (downstream directed) energy resides.

The approach must be to let them do/air whatever they want within the rules. Otherwise this place becomes a lesser place like other forums have become (echo chambers and worse)....as @VCheng can attest to.

If foreigners do so (be it individuals or media), it is their prerogative....and one can highlight and expose it to any they may feel its worth to do so.

I personally would focus far more on damage being done by Indians themselves (be they in power, or in media, or wield some influence or spread some faulty narrative or extreme hopeless panic etc)..

But foreign or local.....silencing them defeats the larger purpose.....this is not the minority report (extreme nip in bud, so the person has no chance to even commit a "wrong" action in first place).

You must always let people do their actions/comments, and show (others) why they are wrong or why their attitude is wrong....or which parts are without becoming just mirror image of them in reverse. That is the only way in such arena.

Any case we have faced massive systematic narrative against our country (USS Enterprise wielded to threaten/coerce us for example against liberating country that was then later derided by same narrative as "basket case")

That too when our country was in much more precarious state too.....yet we are now far friendlier with former adversaries that did such against us. So in that lies a lesson, even applicable to individual level is it not?

So we should take everything in stride, pick and prioritise which battles matter...at the best times for them (i.e is something important to deal with now....or much later)....and never be scared for any opponent (perceived or real) to state what they think.

The best successful countries have a steady calmness about way they handle crisis, no matter what others and those within them might excessively get stuck on.

How do we get more of India to be that way (steady calmness in SHTF scenario due to grounded worthy institutions) should be our priority to focus on....rather than swatting at each buzz from each fly that circles inevitably during it.

When we had the TLP incident only two weeks ago the whole lot of you including @Nilgri had a Indian sourced thread about "Imploding Pakistan" and were on it like mites to a mound of .... !

If you lot stay away from Pakistan trust me I would not even sneeze around you guys. And you guys typical to your nature operate as packs. Me, I just do my own thing and say what I think without a poodles around me to bounce off.

I don't see it that way. Kaptaan was not celebrating that stuff, but I can see why some might get that impression by the multiple threads started on it.

Any case let us get back to the subject at hand in this thread. This stuff goes well above whatever one person take on it is.

Past individuals, forums and media (which are crusts and small layers), we must look to broader society wherever possible and #pakistanstandswithindia and others are more important and reflective of it IMO.
