No specific targetting pod AFAIK. I guess the missile itself has a missile-as-sensor that is used similar to Kh-31P and Rudram-1.

Of course, these missiles do have their own homing sensor. But intitial geolocation of SAM sites has to be done by specialised ESM pod, no? See for exmaple F-16CJ or Growler. Rafale, Gripen can also do that using their built in EW suite and networking as far as I read.

If they can integrate this one with Rafale, (upcoming ones) that is going to be an important step for IAF in SEAD/DEAD capability.

Yes its preferable to be done by pod or the EW suite onboard (its major area RuAF has been found lacking with their a/c incl Su-30 marks in ukraine theatre SEAD and DEAD).

DARE has evolved a number of EW pods (information is scant on these).

With evolution of RWR architecture by DARE: Tempest > Tarang > DR-118 , the EW suite should be getting better....and I guess found adequate for now to handle Kh-31P, Rudram 1 and now Rudram 2.

Just there is no specific HTS pod (specific to the HARM) like the one that turns F-16 into dedicated Wild Weasel.

Maybe with time as squadrons bulk up in number again, there can be dedicated SEAD/DEAD with Rudram 2 et al.

Well, I have no information on that, sorry.

There's no public timeline on road to full-scale production yet. Even if there was, it was unlikely to have been adhered to, so there's that.

Indian Navy to get next-gen Brahmos missiles from 2027; $212 million deal inked​

India announced a deal with Brahmos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL), an Indo-Russian joint venture firm, to procure Next Generation Brahmos Maritime Mobile Coastal Batteries Long Range (NGMMCB LR) and Brahmos missiles. The deal has been finalised at a cost of over ₹1700 Crore or nearly $212 million.

These sea-shore based systems will be equipped with the Brahmos supersonic cruise missiles and are aimed to significantly enhance the multi-directional maritime strike capability of India's naval forces.

This project is poised to generate employment opportunities for more than 90,000 human-days over a period of four years.

Notably, a majority of the equipment and sub-systems for this order will be sourced from Indian industries and indigenous manufacturers. The delivery of these systems is expected to commence from 2027, an official statement said.
Atul Dinkar Rane, CEO and MD, Brahmos Aerospace had recently told WION that the Brahmos missile is now 80 per cent indigenous, a giant leap from the initial years (2004), when the missile was barely 13 per cent indigenous. After Brahmos Aerospace bagged a $375 million agreement with Philippines, the firm is now in serious talks with South East Asian and West Asian countries, Rane had said.

When asked about the impact of the Ukraine-Russia war on the production of Brahmos missiles, he said that the pandemic and the war had caused some small roadblocks, but there were no major issues. Her also mentioned that Brahmos has a full order book until the year 2031.
A major component of the Brahmos missile is its sophisticated Ramjet engine which is the only Russian-origin component in the missile's current configuration. India is now working with Russia, with the aim of making that engine indigenously, Rane had added.
