better to acquire more for overlapping coverage, not all radar can be put into 24/7 working situation all the time. Some must be out of work for routine maintenance or other cases...

We don't even get the permission to buy it...

Have we get permission to buy Wedgetail?
Sorry,It's true, although there is no official statement, the US has subtly rejected Indonesia's plan to buy the F35. For the wedgetail, there is indeed a plan as a candidate for AEW aircraft, but there is no news yet.

At this point the focus is more to fill the existing gap and replacing the ancient radar. Some of our Radar unit still operate ORLA era radar from the late 50s (AWS2).

13 GM400 + 1 RAT-31DLM will add (or replace) to the existing GCI and EW radar

5 Master T (Satrad 213, 242 , 243, 244 , 245)
1 TRS 2230D (Satrad 211)
4 TRS-2215R (Satrad 212, 231, 232, 242)
3 TRS-2215D (Satrad 216, 233, 234)
1 AWS2 (Satrad 214, 221)
1 Plessey AR15 (Satrad 222)
3 AR325 (Satrad 223, 224, 225)
2 Weibel Radar (Satrad 212, 215)
2 portable Airbus MSSR-2000i
? number of portable MLAAD SR

We also have the local army GBAD base air surveillance radar (Thales Ground Master 200, Giraffe etc) just in case. Navy could also help with ship based search radar, especially if the Arrowheadd are equipped with L band long range radar like the SMART-L.

I think in the near future the mil should consider something like this.
