Did Indonesia left the KF-21 program? ARe you going to join KAAN>? :D

I don't think Indonesia would be 100% out.
Even the article mentioning trilateral cooperation, 🇰🇷 🇮🇩 🇦🇪.

Our share maybe become smaller but it's okay I guess.

Also there are still some hurdle for UAE to join.
"In fact, related technologies and parts applied to the KF-21, which is equipped with air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, require export approval procedures from third countries such as the United States,"

But UAE still don't get F35 that was promised from Camp David agreement, so US give this as substitute.

In response to this, an official from the Presidential Office said, "The report that the UAE directly mentioned cooperation with the Korean fighter KF-21 is not true," and added, "Considering that matters related to defense industry cooperation with other countries may affect diplomatic relations, we request that you refrain from reporting." "he said.

About Indonesia joining KAAN, it is more about what Indonesia could provide :). Despite of what media outlets are telling, neither TAI nor SSB (Defense industry presidency) is not willing to provide ToT or partnership at extensive levels or not desperate to do this. It was stressed within the alt-text as "These projects will continue regardless of who is joining or not, we are not in a stage to beg, details are open to be discussed". These words were told after some possible "partners" behaved erratically during the negotiations.

I think I know it, and they have more experience in developing jet fighter than Indonesia.

Maybe because Turkey only able to make F16 locally and not yet able to make indigenous jet fighter yet(and still working on it, meanwhile they already export theirs, albeit coop with other country), so they ask such condition.

You mean Pakistan? Afaik the Chinese pretty much designed and tested the JF-17 for them.

Indonesian in the past always bought bulk to get license agreement

The example is NC212 the agreement is Indonesia bought and build 100 aircraft, and here they are with many still flying today though more are already retired

There is also CN235, thats why even some commuter airliner like Merpati flying CN235 at the time, i am forget the exact number but Indonesia did bought a lot of them back then

In the past Indonesia also bought 40 Hawk 100/200 series is for getting license produce agreement with BAE. With the number needed to produce in Indonesia can reach more than 100 i hear back then

It just after reform we don't have much opportunity to purchase big weapon system in bulk number, and only recently though we do that. For any Korean here, this drama maybe annoying but don't let it clout your judgement as though Indonesia South Korea relationship in military cooperation should be much better after current administration
don't give them hope, especially when 08 got the chair :D :D
