As you know, it will be delivered to Indonesia after all payment is completed. The Korean government has already announced the principle to the media. I personally expect that all payments will not be made until 26. It would not be bad to be delivered after block 1 is completed. Because I think it would be good in terms of risk management to take all technologies after they mature.

Honeywell, PTDI partner to supply collision-avoidance system to Indonesian Air Force

by Oishee Majumdar

Honeywell has signed an MOU with PTDI to supply its Military Airborne Collision Avoidance System for the Indonesian Air Force's C-130 transport aircraft (pictured). (Jamie Hunter)

Honeywell has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indonesia's state-owned aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) for the potential supply of its Military Airborne Collision Avoidance System (MILACAS) for the Indonesian Air Force (Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara: TNI-AU).

The MOU – signed during the Indo Defence 2022 exhibition held in Jakarta in early November – will support the modernisation of the TNI-AU's C-130 transport aircraft, Sathesh Ramiah, the vice-president of the Asia-Pacific region at Honeywell, told Janes in an interview.

MILACAS “is designed for a better range and quality of the surveillance broadcast on military aircraft”, Ramiah said.

It “provides up to two times better surveillance rate than the Enhanced Traffic Alert Collision Avoidance System (ETCAS)”, Ramiah added.

“We [Honeywell] are having further discussions with PTDI to finalise the complete timeline” for the supply and integration of MILACAS into the C-130 aircraft, Ramiah said.

According to Honeywell, MILACAS has a surveillance range of 100 nm for 360° azimuth. It utilises improved interrogation methods and hybrid surveillance (Automatic Dependent Surveillance−Broadcast [ADS-B]).

“The system is approved by civil and military frequency management organisations, including the US National Telecommunications and Information Administration for installation on all military aircraft,” the company said.

MILACAS has been designed to directly replace Honeywell's TPA-81A TCAS.

Honeywell, which also supplies the TPE331 turboprop engines to power the PTDI's NC212i light transport aircraft, is looking to expand collaboration with the Indonesian manufacturer through the supply of MILACAS for the C-130 aircraft, Ramiah told Janes .

French Media Says Indonesia Will Immediately Buy 18 Units Of Rafale Fighter Jets F4 Variant, Like Those Owned by the United Arab Emirates

Arin Nanda Sakinah Friday, November 11, 2022 | 10:51 WIB

BondowosoNetwork.Com - This time the news came from the purchase of Rafale fighter jets, Indonesia, where it was stated that before the turn of the year there would be a binding contract to continue the process of procuring Dassault Rafale fighter jets for Indonesia.

But not in the amount of 36 units, but purchases in the range of 12-18 units only.

This was conveyed directly by the famous French media, La Tribune some time ago.

Still from the same source, it is stated that Indonesia insists on buying a new Rafale and not a second-hand aircraft like those offered to Greece and Croatia.

Then it was also mentioned that the Rafale fighter jet that will be acquired by Indonesia is the latest variant, namely the Rafale F4 as ordered by the United Arab Emirates.

18 include 6 initial order?

If not, then it would be 24 units, 2 squadrons worth.

^^^ Total order for Rafales is 42 right? I'm guessing that this is the remaining 36 Rafales out of 42 as we already ordered 6 units.

I'm afraid that's an old news, going back to Dec 2021.

It's from AvionsLegendaires.net who claimed to get the story from La Tribune.

The 36 was from the news six months before (June 2021) about the total that we planned to purchase, but then revised to 12-18.

Quite sus, she didnt detailed which and when La Tribune news. The latest La Tribune on 20 sept, specified there are 2 rafale contracts: 6 units and 36 units f3r with total 8.1 bil.
Rafale: part of the order signed in Indonesia has entered into force

Six Rafale out of the 42 ordered have been put into effect. Indonesia has officially become Dassault Aviation's 7th Rafale customer.

Prabowo said IFX price tag is around US$ 60-70 millions, far below Rafale.

Quite optimistic projection I would say. Looking at F35 program, first production run price usually quite high.

As long as Ms.Kratin Daeng is the no 1 person in BRIN we won't get far. I also heard she axed a lot of programs besides the MALE UAV.
