Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force (Wakasau), Air Marshal TNI Ir. Tedi Rizalihadi S., M.M., led the Commander Inspection for the procurement of six T-50i aircraft at Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI), Sacheon, South Korea, Monday (September 29, 2025).

This activity was carried out to directly review the progress of the procurement of six T-50i aircraft, which will later strengthen the Indonesian Air Force.

During the visit, Wakasau and his delegation were welcomed by Senior Executive Vice President of KAI, Mr. Jae-Byoung Cha, who provided an explanation regarding the production program of the six T-50i aircraft. The delegation then conducted an inspection and directly observed the T-50i aircraft along with the facilities owned by KAI.

The delivery of the six T-50i fighter aircraft will be carried out in stages. The first two aircraft are scheduled to arrive in November 2025, followed by subsequent deliveries. This addition of strength is part of the Defense and Security Equipment (Alpalhankam) modernization program to enhance the combat readiness of the Indonesian Air Force.

This step is in line with the commitment of the Air Force Chief of Staff (Kasau), Air Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, S.E., M.M., to realize an Air Force that is Adaptive, Modern, Professional, Excellent, and Humanist (AMPUH).

Accompanying the Deputy Chief of Staff were Commander of Air Force Maintenance Command (Dankoharmatau) Air Vice Marshal TNI Ir. Suryanto, Head of State Property Center of the Defense Equipment Agency (Kapus BMN Baranahan Kemhan RI) Air Commodore TNI Tisna Kurniawan, Commander of the 3rd Fighter Squadron (Dangrup 3 Tempur Koopsau) Air Commodore TNI David Tamboto, Senior Procurement Officer of the Defense Equipment Agency Colonel Lek Dwi Anggoro, as well as the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Seoul, Colonel Pnb Muhammad Arif.
