We've got approval for several US military equipment, but I am not sure that our wallet will give approval for that. (Me few months ago).

Soeharto era, more than 70 percentage of Indonesian APBN came from foreign loan, thus very different from nowadays situation where there is at least 70 percentage came from internal resources like tax, Levy and dividen from "BUMN sapi perah"

Standard configuration would be 3 launchers per batteries, that's 18 missile ready to fire. Is there any assets that is used to protect this NASAMS? Depends on how many missile is used to intercept a single target if its used to defends against swarm attack it may get overwhelmed, even though the first line of defence would be jet fighter but against long range missile attack there is not much time for the fighter to react, so SAM is important.
How fast the missile can be reloaded?

Its troublesome indeed if you need to prepare a shield for another shield, but it is good to have good defense.

New Russian fighter to compete with US F-35 aircraft, says expert

According to the data available, the plane features low radar signatures in various bands, a high thrust to weight ratio, a large weapon payload, and advanced air-launched armaments

MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. The latest combat plane that Russia will unveil on the first day of the MAKS-2021 aerospace show will rival the US fifth-generation F-35 aircraft, Executive Director of Aviaport Aviation News Agency Oleg Panteleyev said on Tuesday.

"The teasers in English and the regions that the pilots presented in a video released by Rostec [state tech corporation] suggest that the domestic light fighter will be in competition with the US F-35 aircraft on foreign markets. I am certain that the fighter’s demonstration at the MAKS-2021 will create a wow effect. It is not accidental that [Russia’s state arms exporter] Rosoboronexport has invited over 120 delegations from 65 countries of the world to the aerospace show," he said.

Little is known about the plane’s performance characteristics so far, the expert pointed out. According to the data available, the latest fighter features low radar signatures in various bands, a high thrust to weight ratio, a large weapon payload and advanced air-launched armaments, the expert pointed out.

"There is no doubt that in this decade Russia will be able to restore the tandem of breakthrough aircraft platforms: the heavy Su-57 [fifth-generation fighter] and a new light plane designed to cope with tactical assignments," the expert said.

The Rostec press office announced earlier on Tuesday that Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) would feature a fundamentally new military plane on the first day of the MAKS-2021 international aerospace show in the town of Zhukovsky near Moscow. The project's official website was also unveiled, with a midnight countdown to the plane's July 20 premiere.

As a source in the domestic aircraft-building industry told TASS in the spring of this year, the Sukhoi Aircraft Company (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) is developing the first Russian single-engine light tactical fighter with supersonic speed capability and low radar signature.

The crucial point is ''New Russian fighter to compete with US F-35 aircraft'' . Apparently, the performance of the SU-57 did not satisfy Russia.
Expect something from MAKS-2021, guys.

Again dude ?

*sigh.
Even Su 57 still stuck at engine and missile development progress yet we want F 35 while the waiting list is still far away also the infrastructure even didnt meet minimal specification requirements.

Are you guys still consider 5th gen fighter do the job of 4/4,5 gen ?

I think there is totally difference between urgent need of fighter and wishlist for fighter.

All hail GRIPEN
Nah, even the mass production itself still troublesome.

Your vast option is to pick one of F15, F16, Thypoon, Rafale for 4.5th gen.

Don't again talk about 5th gen, probably you wouldnt see one of them in a decade ahead. Unless DI can make 5 th gen of KFX in near future, again that also wont fly less than 2030.

Perhaps Connie got the point, buy J 20.

One, who hate F16 should try to hear sonic boom from it.
