I somehow doubt it was the case. If we looked at Pindad's previous presentations, the imagery may be so because they simply did not have the CGI / graphics to show, so they took whats available. The lower right product is also FNSS already-existing product btw.

I think much better to buy more Harimau, and for MBT just upgrade and increase readiness for current fleet.

Indeed.

Considering the original plan was to have as many as 300-400 Harimau tanks, the fact that there’s still no further publicized progress beyond a dozen or so is quite pathetic in comparison.

In my view, we should aim for at least a 1:2 or, preferably, a 1:3 ratio between MBTs and medium tanks. It might be even better if they could somehow upgun the Harimau with a 120 mm cannon to simplify ammunition logistics, although I don’t think it’s worth it if it means losing the high elevation angle of the 105 mm gun.
